    Default We've been Swindled!

    Apparently to use Verizon 3G's broadband internet service, you cannot exceed 5,120 megabyte usage, or they'll charge ya. We used over 31,000 megabytes. Result? Our bill is over $300. What the FUCK? Do the NOT want us to have internet? Do they NOT want their customers to be satisfied? I mean, how can you function with ONLY a 5GB plan? Hell we didn't even know what that meant when we selected it! We just thought it was the best one they got. This is utter BULLSHIT!

    Looks like we have to go back to dial up....Fuck my life.

    no offense dude but you should've known that when you signed-up. its your fault. but then why not get high speed internet?

    It's Verizon. They're mainly a phone company and as such they charge for individual data usage. I know it feels like a ripoff but I'm gonna have to go with Michael Do on this one, do your research before you jump in.

    Because we DON'T HAVE high speed internet up here. We live in the boondocks, beyond the reach of the cable and fiber optic lines. It's either 3G, or shitty satellite internet. Our only other option is is to move. (which we are planning on doing anyways)

    And it is our fault. We didn't read the fine print.

    Wow! Sorry to hear that Trail and yes Verison is the Devil lol They charge you for every little thing they can. My Fiance'e just switched from them because they charged her for just geting on the net on her phone and every time she would search for something on a new page, she got charged for it. She was not downloading or buying anything... just browsing the net and got charged for it. How fucking crazy is this crap? lol Well my friend, it looks like its about time for you and the family to become city foke so you can enjoy the finer things like... high speed internet and WiFi lol

    Well my aunt, who also has the Verizon 3G service, told us she has never gone over the 5 gig limit, and that there was no freakin way one of us would voluntarily use THAT much information in one month like that. She suspected that there must be some sort of virus and/or malware that is sending and receiving all kinds of information. Obviously it's my laptop. That also probably explains why my laptop is so gosh darn slow all of the time. Yay.

    Trail, you should call Verizon and explain about the possible virus and ask is they can give you a bit of a credit. When I worked for Verizon (hey, don't hate me, it was a job, and I had kids to feed!) we could do that, and would quite frequently.

    Eh it's too late right now we already came off the plan. I don't think they're gonna do a damn thing about it. Now all of the sudden my aunt is saying that it could just be us. I mean, both my brother and I are doing YouTube, downloading and stuff so perhaps our own activities can rack up to over 31 gigs of usage.

    Oh well, dial up, I'm pretty used to it. 6 months from now I'll probably be in a place with cable internet access.

    Youtube and facebook apparently use alot of gigs as i was told. Perhaps thats y u went over ur limit as u say hon.
