No! The end of PG? Never! she's very very strong, she would never quit (as long as OP is here with her!). She's a DIE HARD girl

And you are making me getting hungry!! Please stop talking about that delicious hot apple pie... No, too late. Now I can't stop thinking of it. Now I have to eat something sweet... now I really need a chocolate or something like that.

Y did I write "now" three times?

I know it's not something extraordinary but I just got addicted to it It remind me of apfelstrudfel too, but I guess I prefer the Mc, I just don't know anymore, it has been a while since I ate an apfelstrudel - but I like without currant (blah!)

I know how it feels like T^T and it's terrible, but lately I'm trying to manage my candies better ^^ Or the craving need, usually what helps a bit is granola.

Hmm.... That is Pão de Ló with dulce de leche, right? Here in Brazil, there's a version of this that is served in weddings, it's called "Bem-casado" (transl.: Well-married). There are several types in weddings and it comes on cute pack, here's a few pics:

    bem-casado-1.jpgBem casados.jpgbem_casado.jpg

But when I do it at home, I do it like a cake (don't have the thing that cut in small circles).

And this one is a really good idea (with ice-cram and strawberries):
    bem-casado-sorvete-morango-low1.jpg

And now, I feel like eating one of those, maybe an alfajor, I just have to eat a sweet! *goes running to the closet to find my hidden candies*

Is there someone here that like cooking too?

It's a Portuguese fluffy sponge cake made of a lot of egg yolks.

Sounds great, we have a cake called Biscuit Bouchée or Dacquoise here that looks similar to your Bem-casado.

It's cold outside, maybe I gotta make ginger cinamon cookies with cappuccino for my kids as I did last year..

After all those pictures and ideas, I was just craving for sugar more than ever, and it's good to know we're not alone in the cooking matters!

Indeed coxinha it's very nice, specially in birthday parties where there's like a mini-coxinha (small sized coxinha), you start eating and you cannot stop.

The bread I think you mean pão-de-queijo, right? But saying cheese bread is right in my opinion, afterall the translation would be bread-of-cheese, I like to eat it while drinking coffe (with milk).

Have you tried brigadeiro (left) and beijinho (right) yet?

Yup I have had them both... frequently.. LOVE beijinho the best though.( not a big chocolate person)

And yes.. thats it!! the cheese bread!! .. I have trouble saying it and cause of my accent..they dont understand me anyway..so cheese bread works I am glad I dont have that bakery closer ( they make everything so its more a restaurant) cause I love Brazilian food.....and I would be MUCH fatter then I already am.

I guess the pronounce of pão-de-queijo, within an english accent, would be something like: pawn-the-k jo

    pawn like in spawn
    the like the article the
k like the letter k (duh! no explanation needed I know, just couldn't resist)
    jo like joker

Give it a shot and try to say it next time you go there!

Now about the beijinho and brigadeiro, love them both.
For beijinho the translation would be little kiss/kissy and for brigadeiro there are none, it's was a name (readed the story behind it once, but I forgot already) - not that you asked but I decided to write.

Maybe you should visit Brazil once, try our pizza (really different from the italian one) and the traditional feijoada and caipirinha - not a huge a fan of the last two, specially caipirinha because I don't drink alcohol.

And get fat in a rodízio - wich works like this: you pay an entry fee (usually something like R$30,00/R$35,00 but it can variate a lot) and go eat how much barbecue and other things of the buffet that you can/want/handle, the only thing you pay is the drinks and desert. You can see more about it here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod%C3%ADzio
