i would guess the production is halted to both give the investigators free roam to the equipment and to double check the rest of the cables and stuff being used...

So sorry to hear this... Accidents like this one rarely happen but when they do it's awful.

That she would have brain surgery is pretty damn obvious given that she just had a serious head injury. Stupid-ass Radar.

Accidents like this always result in a temporary shut-down while an investigation takes place.

It's a terrible accident, and I hope she recovers soon.

But accidents do happen, stunt work exists for a reason.

Poor woman it's terrible to hear news such as this but unfortunately these things happen hopefully she will recover 100% my prayers go to her and her distraught familiy.

I feel so sorry for that poor woman and her family. A serious head injury involving brain surgery is bound to leave some brain damage. The real question is to what degree will that damage be? Will she still have her independence, will she be a completly different person, will she survive? No one likes asking these questions.
I heard from the witness account that a truck was towing a car, probably at a particular high speed, and the cable between them just snapped in half. It swung back, hit the woman's car, then hit her and slashed through her head. It was mechanical failure from a cable that was believed to be reliable. Either time had worn it down or it was made from faulty materials. A similar situation happens on aircraft carriers from time to time.
