Leister better watch his comments or his character would end up in deleted scenes.....![]()
LoL, a moron. All the actors should be given a FAQ sheet for the movie so they what to answer.
A moron, really? Bay better watch out, he's messin' wit Terry Tate.

Oh with this moron i think Mr Bay was only joking ;p but seriously i don't belive that movie only, could cost 400$ -.- even with marketing campaign. Marketing is like 100$ or slightly more. (and i'm talking about milions right ;P)
$200million approx budget and $100million marketing? Do you really believe that?
I don't. And I don't understand this urban myth of marketing cost.
I doubt Mr.Bay would disclose the real marketing budget BUT the urban myth floating on the 'net for another Paramount movie The Last Airbender which underperformed at boxoffice is claiming that the movie would have been a disaster because out of $150million budget Paramount would have spent another $100-150million in marketing... If that was true then yes it would have been a financial disaster.. BUT ask yourself how could marketing cost 50% up to 100% of production budget...?
Yes advertising worldwide is pricey BUT not that pricey. Also big multinational Corporations like Paramount and Dreamworks if aren't owned by bigger groups they are linked to bigger groups and have many special agreements even with competitors networks and they have their own resources if not tv networks then printed and online magazines, newspapers and so on and on... They aren't a small business nor a small store. That is the reason why all those huge marketing numbers don't make any sense and maybe could be true for a small business that had to pay all the marketing in full worldwide with no discounts and no agreements and without owning its own resources but Paramount/Dreamworks and all the others involved aren't tiny businesses you know..
If multinational groups had to spend another 50% up to 100% of production budget for each movie then no one would risk producing $150-$200million+ budget movies without being 200% sure that the product wouldn't either flop, underperform or worse even bomb at boxoffice.
A 25-30% of production budget spent on marketing it's a way more realistic number. Which means that for a $200million production I would expect the studios to pay $60million in worldwide marketing.
See for yourself. This movie was an original idea, and no one would be sure about its success but as you can see 160$ budget with 100$ marketing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incepti...m%29#Marketing
and i think TF3 is this kind of investment that PARAMOUNT would spend another 100$ for ads and stuff if not more.
According to wikipedia, the marketing costs of Revenge of The Fallen where around 150 Million $
Are you guys really so naive to trust what is written on Wikipedia? And even if news sites were reporting those numbers they just can't be trusted. If any of those were true no one would risk money producing movies and 90% of productions would be a financial failure, directors and producers would be quite poor and multinational groups would have gone bankrupt many years ago.
Don't expect everyone to always agree with you
Well... 100 Millions in Prints and Ads are rather common in huge blockbusters. Just think in the worldwide campaigns made and the 10000+ theaters of the first day. That's the reason many movies don't get a simultaneous worldwide release. It's really expensive. Accordint to NY times, Avatar Printing and Ad campaign was about $230M.
But still, we have a 350M "total budget" for ROTF (incluiding everything, even the costs of the teaser and the superbowl ad and every print or poster; I'll assume that also DVD ads and distribution, since I have seen no info about it).
-Then we have a $836M at worldwide Box Office (that makes $486M profit)
-Then we have $217M US DVD sales (that makes $703M profit)
-Then we have an unknown amount of foreign DVD sales; I'll asume around $200M, but I'm sure it' more (that makes $903M profit).
-Then we have television rights (supposedly 12% of US Box Office, so around $60M), toys and earnings due to product placement.
Even thinking that not all foreign money may reach paramount (but I think they are distributing the movie themselves, not using any other company), a movie like ROTF with a 200M budget and 150M marketing costs can be extremely successful.
WOW the budget is huge and one of cinema's most expensive productions.
??? dude this was a thread to laugh at... didnt you read?
