There's a disturbance on the Moon. A robot shaped disturbance. Scientists on Earth see this and the information gets passed up the chain of command. In the White House men in black suits are breathlessly running through the halls, and they burst into the Oval Office. The president is behind the desk, back turned to the door, looking out the window. One of the men tells the president, 'Sir, something's happened on the Moon!' The president turns around.

Yes, the opening scene of Transformers 3 takes place in 1961 or 1962. The gist of the story has to do with the Transformers' involvement in the space race, and this is the reason why JFK was so hot to make sure America was first to the Moon. It sounds like a fun direction; there are a lot of stupid conspiracy theories about Neil Armstrong et al meeting ETs on the Moon, and this is a fun way to play with them. I hear this was Spielberg's idea, and it really does sound like something he'd come up with. If you're like me and you like the Spielberg-influenced Transformers but hate the mostly Spielberg-free Transformers 2, this is all good news."

Hmmm, something tells me theres something of great importance on the moon, but the US kept it secret from everyone, until the soviet union found out, and so began the "space race", but it wasnt just to see who would get to the moon first, it was to find whatever it is thats up there, which could explain the faked moon landing and such o.0 cuz maybe the US found it, but something went wrong and they were forced to abort the mission?
could be why theyre filming in russia too, maybe its another "space race" but this time other countries are involved as well? like china? hmm im hoping they put Chernobyl in the movie somehow.

Yes, Unicron ate a distant planet, used up all of its energy, then coughed up the waste material near Earth, all of that stuff eventually coalesced under the force of gravity into the Moon!

considering planet earth has more than one moon, either 3-7 or 11 (cant remember the exact amount) and genrallly we can only see one moon with the naked eye. plus unicron was a moon in armada/energon. if its true i hope he isnt a shadow/cloud like a certain film.

dude idk where you got this from, but Earth has only one moon *looks outside* yup, one moon. And those other ones that we cant see, those have been confirmed to be asteroids that orbit the Sun in a similar path to Earth, And one even ended up being the third stage of the apollo 12 rocket lol
