I take it you are unaware that the cartoons were based on comic books:

Well, I thought the 2k3 toon was pretty dark, for a Saturday Morning Cartoon. Some episodes to catch that are serious:

Meet Casey Jones (Raph almost kills Mikey in this one when he lost his temper)
The Shredder Strikes Back 1 and 2 (this is practically ripped right from the comics.
Same as it Never Was (Just watch the episode, I won't spoil it for you)
    Exodus parts 1 and 2

Yeah, but this is the thing, I love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That was my absolutely favorite thing growing up. Raphael is my favorite character of all time! So, hmmm, let's see, Bad Boys 3, or MB depiction of the TMNT. I know he'll do Raphael justice, his character, personality and attitude is right up MB's alley!

My pleasure. I actually was a teenager when I discovered Michael Bay (and that was a bit ago) so a lot of what is said here amuses me greatly.

WHo saw the original movie in theaters as a kid? i saw it 3 times and had the soundtrack as well. I grew up with the original show since it aired on TV 23 years ago when i was 6 with that pilot and had the merchandise as well since then.

Voltron should be a CGI animated movie or at least an anime movie since it is from Japan originally than a live-action movie.

I saw all of the Turtle's movies in the theaters, but the first 3, I only saw once. Back then, I lived like 20 miles from the nearest movie plex, so multiple viewings was out of the question. The last one that was CGI, I saw like 5 times. (While the plot was crappy, they nailed the characterizations beautifully, especially Donny, who the movies never seemed to get right.

i never sawthe movies in the theaters (how could i? i was only just born!) But i loved to watch the movies on the TV.

I would even stay at home just to watch them. It's a pitty that they rarely showed the first movie on the TV much. it was always the second or the third one.
