It is, first and foremost, a cop movie, not a Marvel superhero summer tentpole. And honestly, I don't think it's even possible to top "Bad Boys 2". So in my view, they should go "sideways"...just like "Dark of the Moon".

Well, we're talking about "Pain & Gain" and "Transformers 4"...but no one mentiones "Bad Boys 3". So now I think it's pretty clear that "BB3" is not on Michael's radar. On top of that, Martin and Will are not getting younger and it's harder and harder to picture them as "bad boys".

The best thing is that Will still looks great. Hi didn't age a bit in the last 15 years. Martin gained a little bit too much weight recently but it's nothing fatal and he could still fit in the character. We just need a great story and I hope Michael will find time to do it after TF4. I believe a 2016 release date for Bad Boys 3 is quiet possible.

Recently it was mentioned that Depp signed a deal for a 5th POTC movie in which Orlando Bloom will return. So among these 3 I guess pirates is the most probable. Especially considering the fact that Michael is busy for the next 2 years.
