Storms!

yesterday afternoon we had the biggest storm ever!

ok so i had yesterday off cause i had this really bad cold!
all over the news and stuff it was telling people to get ready for this
really big storm that was coming!
when we picked my little brother up from skwl we saw some lightning
and the sky was getting dark.
when we picked up my olderbrother we heard thunder!
i love thunderstroms so i was excited!
when we got home the sky was really dark and we heard thunder in the
distance. My dads fat cat was spooked but my kitten was lying around on
the floor like usual!
when it started raining it rained hard!
my little brother said it was best if we all went into the bathroom!
so i picked up Cassie and before we went in it started hailing!
hailstones the size of golfballs hit the windows and the roof.
Jess (fat cat) started panting and ran into the cupboard.
Cassie ran under my mums bed.
the storm got closer and closer until it was all around us!
it was the worst storm iv ever seen!
i hid in the cupboard with Jess cause Cassie wouldnt come out.
mum ran into the kitchen and got us some food cause it had been going
on for over 40 minutes and we were getting hungry!
i sat with the cat, Josh (older brother) was on his laptop, Sam (little bro) had fallen asleep crying!
i found one of dads old books and it turned out it was the Case Book of Sherlock Holmes!
so i read that!
10 minutes later it quietened down so we went out of the room.
we caould see more dark clouds coming and the cats were still spooked!
i got a text from Odette saying one of her windows was smashed, the bathroom was flooded and her
computer was soaked.
the next part of the storm came 10 minutes later and it was as bad or worse than the first part!
lots of thunder and lightning, hail and rain!
around 7 oclock my dad came over cause the power at his place went out and he brought cake!
the storm was over around 7:20 so mum made some dinner and the sky was a brilliant orange!
small bits of thunder could be heard in the distance but it was finnaly over!
i got a text for Odette saying to watch the news and our skwl was distroyed!
so we have a day off 2 day!
im going over 2 Odettes place in like 20 minutes to help cleaning!
there are more storms forecasted for 2 night!
omg!
this feels like a dream!
bushes and rubbish allover the road and people walking around in wet clothes looking confused as the sky was painted bright orange!
scariest night of my life!

Hon 1 thing u should know about the weather things can change so suddenly within a blink of the eye, 1 minute it's lovely and sunny no clouds in the sky next, it's storming like hell it's like that in QLD all the time. Wish we had some thunder storms, it's a nice feeling sleeping in OP's arms while it's thundering outside listening to the rain.

On a side note i loved the way u described your day it was like a story lol! x

people stop on the freeway could only see 1 metre in front
houses business damaged all over the area!
worst storm we have ever seen!
150 000+ homes with out power!
50+ traffic lights down
omg rc! i love storms! then i hide in a cupboard! wtf! lol i was outside filming on my camera!
funny seeing motorcyclists getting hit on tv lol

its all quite now 10 000 homes left with no power was awsome!

Lo! CB i have no particular interest in twisting anything of yours including your words y would i feel the need to do that when u do it all by urself *wink* Anyway u guys are lucky i live in QLD and we haven't had a proper storm in like months all we had were stinky humid hot weather which i detest greatly.

One day we had tornado sirens going off like nuts. We were out in our backyard, near the cellar, when I looked up and saw a tornado that was still in the clouds pass directly over our house. Close. Call. O_O I've also been in a microburst (pulled a rather giant tent down on top of me). I really don't like high wind storms >_< Our old dog didn't like them, either.

my skwl is 80% damaged so i have no skwl this week!

David Mitchell from the Education Department says classes at more than ten schools have been cancelled.

"Ocean Reef Senior High School, Shenton College, Duncraig Senior High School, Heathridge Primary School, Mindarie Senior College, Tuart College, Quinns Rocks Primary School, Lynwood Senior High School and Hollywood Primary School, just in the Pre-Primary and Kindergarten," he said.

Years 8, 9 and 10 classes at Perth Modern School have also been cancelled, as have classes for year 11 and 12 at Churchlands Senior High School.

Yes there is a firm line between nice storm's where no one is harmed and there's storm's that are quite devastating.

@Sprucebox Wow! i'm glad we don't get those type of storm's in australia i know it's horrific for people who live in areas where there are alot of tornadoes.

Yeah I like the nice storms (it's been cloudy and rainy here...good sleeping weather). The bad ones can stay away.

And yes I really don't like tornadoes (I've actually got a bit of a fear for tornado sirens, though one of my favorite movies is Tornado! lol). I'd like to live in Florida, but they have even more tornadoes (and hurricanes too) then Missouri does, so I think I'd rather live out west. I can handle an earthquake!

for 2 weeks! 4 WEEKS OFF!

Pretty much. It's just sad to hear alot of ppl suffer because of them.
But life is a risk i guess especially when u live on a planet that is also alive and has constant changes happening to it.
