Default Nobel Peace Prize...for the internets?!!!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8560469.stm

The internet's nomination has been championed by the Italian version of Wired magazine for helping advance "dialogue, debate and consensus".
...as well as being the #1 source for porn since video rental stores, and serving as the #1 place for predators to stalk minors, #1 way to scam people for their money, etc, etc, etc.

Yep, the internets TOTALLY deserve the Nobel Peace Prize!

If you consider "Not being Bush" as absolutely nothing. Even Obama found it inappropriate.

But yeah, the interweb, if that can win a prize, why hasn't television won the Nobel Peace Prize?

Hey Trail, the internet is not a new thing dude. The internet has been around since the 60's, and it went public in April of 1993. I'm sure it's creators didn't intend the net to be for those purposes.

lol, thanks for the reality check.

If that's the case, then the internet IS in fact a very very great thing. The problem is is that people exploit it.

if we take out the exploitation from porn, is there really a bad thing about it? this question doesnt indicate my views on it but its just interesting topic to bring up and discuss

    agree with tb pg

must consider the net has brought us the deeds in china and other states like it regarding "human conditions"(brain fuzz too hot). without the net alot more may have gone unoticed
