Male platypus have the fricken venomous barbs on their back heals. They can't kill humans but they'll leave them in excruciating pain for weeks. Who know something so goofy and cute and fuzzy could be so dangerous?!!

It's mother nature's way of saying "I made this thing out of spare parts off the workshop floor and it can still cripple you."

Oh! I haven't been to taronga zoo in yonks it's been that long i used to love going there though i always used to feel a sense of loss aswell after i would leave, because i could go home freely, but they can't. I understand that they are taken care proffesionally but theres nothing like freedom rather than being in some artifical enviroment with ppl constantly harrasing u all day everyday. But i do commend the work the zoo keepers do 4 sure i guess it's a sad catch 22 situation but then again life is a catch 22 situation isn't it.
