Well my biggest problem is that australia is known to have the wost poisonous spiders in the world and i live in constant fear i'll come across one of those retched creatures especially in the summer months like now when it's unbelievably humid and steamy these things tend to breed and attack u *stares across room whilst writting this to make sure there is nothing*

I was wondering what you thought of it, Drake. Because from what I'm reading, a lot of people in the military are calling it unrealistic and absurd. I dunno about you, but it seemed pretty raw to me, but this is coming from a kid who is obviously not in the military nor wants to be, lol.

There's always going to be some inaccuracy when transferring military to a movie. True, there were several unrealstic parts. HOWEVER, I know why they were done that way, and it made the movie better. A lot of people don't even know EOD does conduct some sniper rifle training...

Its pretty much the same thing with shows like CSI and the real thing. Real CSi is nothing as extravagant and flamboyant and exciting as it is on the TV, that's why I never watched it. In the course of my occupation, I have had the opportunity to see Detectives work and seriously the TV show is overrated.

No, I just think it's weird. I think it's out of left field really. I thought the Academy would be bowing at Camerons feet last night. I was disappointed that District 9 got nothing, but I still love it. I'm buying that one with the gift cards my kids gave me for Christmas. It'll be my first R rated movie in my picky collection (I have about a dozen movies.) Can't show it to the kids to let them see what I got, but it's still a fun movie for me.

BTW: Way to go Sandy for getting best actress! Haven't seen the movie, but my family won't shut up about it.

I think it's weird that District 9 was even nominated for best picture. Of course, the fact that they expanded the list from 5 nominees to 10 would have contributed to this. The Hurt Locker deserved it, and Kathryn Bigelow deserved the best director Oscar.
