I agree for the hooks !! Its up to Bay to made this a successfull movie or not !) I believe that if the scenario will be interesting enough to keep you over time and 3D technology is at all its glory and it is a must , has the usual action and will be this time more emotional and more serious as well as has killer Graphics as always and more .... well maybe and at the worst will be the winner domestically and top Potter the last ) ! The transformers are not inferiors than Avatar or Harry Potter thats the true though ))

ROTF left a bad taste in some die hard fans mouths(according to some sites I visit every now and then), so I think TF3 might taper off a bit. The critical backlash from ROTF could also hurt it, but I always go with the opposite of what critics mostly say.

I agree with u mr. gabba unfortunately ROTF did leave a bad mark on some ppl's mind and that definetly will effect the outcome i loved both movies but other's didn't.

Also the final HP movie has been rather highly anticipated for a long time now & with the results of both HP & TF are very close so either one could win i'm hoping for a TF win but at this stage HP looks like the winner for now!

Unless the critics have swayed too many people with their... over opinionated bickering, TF3 would probably beat the final HP (part two) domestically... but as HP films go, they tend to get in the 900 millions.

Potter will crush Transformers 3 worldwide...Potter, despite some beliefs on this forum,is way more of a cultural icon than Transformers....hits a much bigger audience worldwide (i.e. Europe). Does TF3 have a shot at 1 billion worldwide....maybe....Potter though will flirt with Titanic numbers worldwide....can it get Avatar numbers....remains to be seen....

Transformers from the biginning did not deserve even comes to a second place !! it was bad from my view as a fan and huge TFs collector but if the fans go transformers will vanish into nothingness and this will be a tragety ! i hope that bay will direct a more serious and complex plot this time 3D or Not and Paramount advertising will be something like Avatar ! If not . . . . I can not imagine the size of the failure this time ! Is one of the 3 best franchises out there for years and decades and we deserves to see better TF movies ! Please Mr.Bay be better than yourself this time ))))

Avatar didn't advertise or leek any information for a long time... i found it annoying all we got was concept art.... Paramount had trailers well in advance to build up buzz... unfortunately the wizards got this one because they release trailers in a standard time line and droves still go to see the films. WB doesnt have to build up any hype. Bay has to try to attract some of the G1 fan boys by showing footage early and new robots

As much as the G1 fans annoy me they mos def are part of the market Bay and paramount are trying to please!

Harry Potter. It has established itself in the film world for almost 9 years now. Plus...3-D. That's going to take it to over a billion dollars right there.

Ummm, you do realize they have a 2-D option right? Made me wonder why everybody was so hard against TF3 being shot in 3-D. It's completely optional for you to see it in that format!
