i was wacthing the comemtnarys of rotf and during the scene of devs, the writers and bay (i think) says that the sisters were killed all 3 (even chromia was not shoy btu she was nto seen after that) so that measn the sisters are dead, No mreo fmebots in TF3,? Psot your Opinion

Maybe, the only person that went to get Sam and Mikaela back to the soldiers to survive was Ironhide. He was the only one shown I think.

Actually Sideswipe survived too, I think. Also, why would they kill them off? They barely had any screen time, yet the Jar-jar binks Twins were alive... not even leaving a window open for them to come back? That doesn't make much sense to me, unless they are playing games here.

I think Sideswipe survived, he never went in where the artstrike was. He was with Ratchet at the back where most of the soldiers were I think.

Go watch the movie, during the fight Sidewipe is at the main group of soldiers where the airstrike doesn't hit. He does get shot but never goes down.

Yeah, Sideswipe stays back with Ratchet and the other soldiers. Only Ironhide and Arcee triplets go in the battle. And only Ironhide comes running back out before the airstrike is called in.

So one can assume that the Arcee triplets didn't survive. Last we saw of them, two were gunned down and the third was hiding behind a wall while Ironhide was taking on a Bonecrusher look-a-like.

But there's probably nothing stopping Bay and Kruger from writing them back in if they wish, since their "death" happened off screen.

Maybe, you can't really say that yet. We don't know for sure that Acree died, but you never know. They were small robots that went into the heart of battle.

As far as Arcee is concerned we only have the commentary to go on and they can just decide to bring them back in TF3. All we saw was Flare-Up and Arcee being hit, Chromia was behind cover and firing away. Since, in the movie, they are all but one entity, one may assume that as long as one of the 3 survives, Arcee as an entity survives too. She might need to replace a few parts but i think she would be all right. As for the rest of the Autobots, Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Jolt were all alive when Optimus went after The Fallen. Since Optimus was the only one fighting after that, one assumes they all survived. Unless, of course, they were caught along with the the human assets when The Fallen made his levitation trick but i think he did that only to the forces surrounding the pyramid. Wheelie is presumably alive, though no explanation was offered as to where, the same with the Twins. So, the only confirmed Autobot casualty in the movie is Jetfire.

This is IMO where the movie failed the most. I know there are plot holes big enough for the Titanic to go through but they don't bother me as much as what should be the main characters, the robots, disapearing with no explanation. Would it blow the budget out if they had had the Twins in the shot along with Simmons and Leo when they come back? We have several shots of the human characters regrouping after the battle but not in one of them, even if just in the background, do you get to see a single Autobot? Even in the aircaraft carrier, we have Optimus walking along the flight deck, they could have, if not all, at least 1 or 2, there too, even if in alt mode.

This discussion leads me to one of the issues I have with the films in general.

How do these robots die?

Ripped in half? (Jazz)
Shot too many times? (Brawl / Blackout)
Allspark to the chest destroying your spark? (Megatron)
Decapitated? Bonecrusher
Stabbed in the back with chest blown out? Spark destroyed? (Optimus Prime)
Face getting ripped apart? (Gindor)
Getting shot in the face? (Demolisher)
Getting your spark ripped out of you chest and crushed? (Fallen)

Its just confusing because what "causes death" for a transformer seems inconsistant and some are "revived" and others are not. Using a bit of logic I would assume that when a transformers spark is destroyed they are dead for good? Like the Fallen. Or can the Fallen come back with a tap of an allspark piece? Was Jazz's spark destroyed? Because if not just put him back together.

Im sure some on here can come up with elaborate self interpretations of how/why each robot died/ is resurrected but I dont care. It just detracts from the credibility of an "apparent" death when any robot may or may not really be dead, or not dead or in stasis or taking a nap or whatever......

My interpretation... They die in whatever way is more convenient to the "plot" at any given time.

I dunno. If I got my face ripped off I'd be dead. Not only was Grindor's face ripped off, but I could've swore he was headless when Prime pulled him down. That would equal Bonecrusher's demise. Just a bit more gory in robot terms.

Are you even listening to yourself? We're talking about living giant alien robots that transform in cars and stuff... logic was out the window from the start.

But seriously, that scene could have played out differently, he could have ripped his face and shoved his fist through his spark.. But he didn't just rip his face, he tore Grindor's head off. And from what happened to Bonecrusher, that, aparently, is enough to kill a Cybertronian.
