That double guns to chesty move Cruise did was a bit cringe worthy.

Personally, I don't hate Cruise. As a matter of fact, I think he's a great actor ( you don't believe me - watch "Collateral" ) with a remarkable career. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think most people hate his Scientology beliefs and some of the things he has said in the past. And just because he happens to be an actor, they're slamming his movies too.

Cant wait for this!!! Was in Boston when they were shooting some of these scenes pretty cool stuff... I always try to put personal life aside when watching my favs on the Big Screen. Like even if he is nutzo Tom C is the Man on screen. I like all his films. Collateral is one of his greats IMO and his role in tropic thunder was perfect.

I'll be honest, my ambivalent stance on this movie has changed a bit in the time between the first trailer and the subsequent trailer (among other things). I'm much more looking forward to it than I was in the beginning.

So, apart from its proximity to Toy Story 3's release (mistake), would anyone venture a guess as to why this film is stinking up the place? I had no idea it cost $150 million to make. That's insane. I'm guessing a big chunk of that went to pay TC.

I know this is a tad anecdotal, but it was sold out over the weekend both times I tried to go.
