    "The Peacemaker"

Personally, I think Mimi Leder puts Kathryn Bigelow to shame when it comes to female action directors. The New York street chase in the end is just one example, and it is still one of my all-time favorite action sequences.

I just saw 2 movies this morn, Bad Lieutenant and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans. Both were good but messed up. Both were similar but different. Different characters in different cities yet are about cops that end up using drugs and go bad.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Lie...ll_New_Orleans

At first I thought Bad Lieutenant was simply rated R but I found out at the wiki page it was actually rated NC-17. Yup,I can understand why.

Rumor is, the third movie will be in 3-D...Samara in 3-D?

    I'm so there!

Okay, prepare for the most hideous review you've ever seen from me.

Oh god, oh god, I can't believe I actually watched this movie. I just can't believe I actually took the time to watch it. Why oh why did I actually considering watching this movie?!!! Oh, was it because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about? That's right. But now I totally regret it, because it's left an absolutely bad taste in my mouth. A taste so bad that Plan 9 From Outer Space can even clean it.

    I watched Twilight.

This movie doesn't even know what it is!!!!!! Is it a vampire movie? Is it a horror? Is it a romance? Is it a chick flick? It tries to be one or others of these but all they do is just conflict each other and it all just becomes one big clusterf*ck!!! Not to mention the fact that it absolutely has no structure at ALL!!!!! Oh, and it's very depressing, creepy, and boring. But last but not least, it was absolutely GOD AWFUL!!!

The ONLY entertainment value I ever got from this movie is that it's so BAD that it's hilarious. Throughout this entire movie I've been laughing my ass off at just how terrible it was. Just wretched.

The thing was was that it was impossible for me to watch this alone. I had to watch it with a friend who is a "semi-fan" of this franchise but understand just how bad it is. Luckily, we both watched Star Wars Episode III after to wash the bad taste out of our mouths.

What were you thinking? Did you have a brainfart? Where was your mind,on vacation? What made you actually consider seeing that one.

Now then, when are you gonna see the sequels?

Saw Kick Ass today. Once it got its feet under it, it grew on me and I liked it a lot. Nic Cage was his, as usual, interesting self to watch.

3:10 to Yuma. Love Bale, love Russell. Can't go wrong, right? WRONG. I hate hate HATE movies where everyone is insufferably stupid except the two main characters (and not even those two! Crowe only!). Charlie Parker was handing out Darwin Awards left and right. I had to get up and leave a few times because I was tired of people getting themselves killed for no reason.

Hint: If you're on the second story of the building and your opponent is standing in the MIDDLE OF AN EMPTY STREET, guess what? You have the higher ground! We have this thing called gravity that propels the bullets downward at increasing speed! YOU CAN SHOOT PEOPLE BELOW YOU AND USE THE WALLS OF THE BUILDING YOU ARE IN AS COVERAGE.

Oh, and if you came into my town gunning down the law and not giving a shit, my friends and I would put you all on the ground, take your hundreds of dollars, and collect additional from the government. kthxbai.

I definitely love the French version (Opération ninja, LOL). Personally, I wish Samy Naceri (Taxi) and Jason Statham (Transporter) were in Transformers movies. They would look good with bots.

The first one was a real surprise : It was original and clearly up to date according to american standards. Besson of course. But the sequels are just plain rubish : At one point, the car flies...

When I think of it, Naceri - our troubled child from the cinema industry * - did pulled it off, but Diefenthal really ruined the movie.

*This guy has been arrested numerous times for the stupidest things ever : Robbery, assault with a knife, fights in restaurants, non-respect for law enforcement... you name it. And this is still going on.

Wow, I didn't know Naceri was such a bad boy.. still charming, though.

I sometimes feel that, in general, the originality and the charm of movies tend to be gradually weakened in sequels/prequels inversely with budget increases and scale expansions, as if something has been lost (sadly, that's also true of the industry I belong to).
