    "Evan Almighty"

Light and funny...nothing more, nothing less.

And yes it's true, this is the most expensive comedy ever made ( also, the most expensive movie ever shot in Virginia ) , with a budget of over $200 million. In other words, it's more expensive than "Revenge of the Fallen".

    Weird, I know.

Why was it more expensive that ROTF? What did they use to spend that much on a comedy movie enlighten me, because i really find that absurd that type of amount being spent on a comedy type movie!

Push, The Fourth Kind, Demolition Man, and I revisted The Dark Knight. I JUST noticed that the shotgun The Joker has throughout most of the movie is the one he took from that mob banker at the beginning!

Because stock footage of lions, tigers, and bears superimposed on a frame and made look like their part of the background are a pain in the ass for CGI animators!

    Oh, and there's water.

I thought it was just ok, BG. The premise showed promise, action was good, and it was certainly a good looking movie. But tonally inconsistent. Actually, both movies I listed above fit the latter description. (re: tone)

Only watched it because Alex Carter was in it (loved him in it, btw, lol). Cool movie. Not a whole lot of action, but it had some funny parts, like the crab restaurant scene near the beginning between Denzel and Dean Cain...I LOL'd hard at that convo. And I might be getting that soundtrack sometime. I really enjoyed the music in it

    Who doesn't love that movie?

And the score by Hans Zimmer really pumps me up. It's the perfect music for the gym.

Well, actually, its true. Disney has released several CG animated movies, one a year recently, mostly by Pixar, but a traditional hand drawn one has not been done in a few years. We animation freaks are funny about that! :-)

    My favorite John Woo's film.

I love to bring that up when my friends can only talk about The Killer or Hard Boiled... and when they give me trouble about Broken Arrow, I just need to mention Windtalkers. That's quite enough to calm them down.

I think the success of Princess and the Frog has prompted Disney to make more movies of this kind.

Yup. And now that Lassiter is at the helm of Disney Animation, the storytelling will again be king!

I saw "How to Train Your Dragon" today. It was cute, predictable but cute. Not laugh out loud funny, but cute.
