Salt- Not bad. I like Angelina Jolie; she's one of the few female actresses that can pull off being a badass, along with The Bride, of course.

The Informant- Matt Damon does an amazing job, but I only thought the movie was okay, not great.

Tales from Earthsea: Very good Miyazaki/Ghibli animated adaptation of the books with a solid dub cast like Cheech marin and more.
Not of this Earth (1988): Sexy remake of the 1957 Roger Corman cult classic about a space vampire, Traci Lords is hot in this one and naked too as i enjoyed this and the original since i was a teen.
The Incredible Hulk 1977 pilot movie: Great pilot to a fantastic show, loved this movie since i was a kid when i had it on video and also adored the show since i was a teen when they showed reruns of it on Sci-fi back in the 90's.
Space Jam: One of my guilty pleasures since i was a teen, Lola Bunny is quite cute for a bunny girl and i still adore her.
Matrix, Lord of the Rings Two Towers been awhile they still seem awesome shame so much of Christopher Lee's scenes were cut in the beginning.
Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, and Empire Strikes Back. awesome and no ewoks or Jar jar![]()
Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides - It was definitely different. Still, a good fun addition to the series. The mermaids were damn hot. I'd recommend 2D also.
I did my Pirates marathon before seeing this on Blu-Ray and went to see this, great movie. The mermaids were boner-vision much like the one in Splash or Ariel.
Zombie Holocaust on Blu-Ray: Gory and gross yet amusing in a cheap kind of way Italian-US horror shocker about a mad man who poses as a surgeon takes parts from a New York hospital to his own island where he makes zombie experiments especially on the cannibalistic tribe that lives there.
Deep Red (aka Profundo Russo and The hatchet Murders) on Blu: Looks stunning and sounds very good in high def, this has always been one of my favorite horror movies for a long time. This Dario Argento production is a quality and gory psychological horror slasher thriller that influenced many movies like Halloween to all the way to Saw.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Loved it. Blackbeard was a badass. I also love how we finally have a peg-legged pirate in this. Now we just need someone with a hook.
The 3-D...I know it was shot with Fusion 3-D cameras, but it seems like we never got any real epic 3-D moments. While it beats post-conversion, it pays to take real advantage of the format when you're working with the real stuff.

"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
The Incredible Hulk 1977 pilot movie Huge fan of the series today as I was back when I was a kid. Bill Bixby is one of my favorite actors and he did an awesome job playing the part of David Bruce Banner.
Hercules 1983 Starring Lou Ferrigno, Another favorite of mine. A bit cheesey now but still good to watch.

Hoodwinked on Blu-Ray: Looks very good in high def, a very fun animated comedy in the tradition of Shrek and has a good story to tell.
Hoodwinked 2: Inferior to the first one but decent.
Dawn of the Dead 2004 on Blu-Ray: I was skeptical about this remake at first because i grew up with the original and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise, Zack Snyder made one hell of a debut and this homage to Romero's classic is excellent but not as social commentary as the original.
1941: Ah yes, Spielberg's infamous 1979 WWII comedy flop! it's not that bad folks, it's really a misunderstood film.
Vanishing on 7th Street: Couldn't get past the horrible acting of Hayden Christensen. Probably would have been watchable if he weren't in it. Turned it off after 45 minutes.
Stone: Felt like it was trying to get some 'greater good' message across, but failed. Suspenseful, but with no purpose.

Visitor-Q: MY GOD, this Japanese dark comedy import will make you wanna take a shower after seeing it. It's a mockumentary (aka Spinal Tap, Paranormal Activity, Cannibal Holocaust or Blair Witch Project) about a Tokyo newscaster who makes a documentary about dysfunctional families and horny teens especially a teen prostitute who makes out with her dad, necrophilia, child murder and that sort of thing to shit and breastmilk. Grossed me out but has a few good laughs, this is from the infamous Japanese filmmaker behind such shocking cult classics like Ichi The Killer and Visitor Q.
Pirates 4: Fun installment, those Mermaids are hotties.
Hard Boiled on Blu-Ray: Want a great action classic from the 90's? this one will blow you away and you can see how many action directors including our beloved Bay adores this masterpiece from Hong Kong, it's non-stop action and bullets with blood plus John Woo in his last Hong Kong movie before coming to America. I adored this movie since i was 14 after watching Ebert's video pick of the week, i had to see this and loved it, even showed it to my junior high friends and they loved it.
Pirates 4: I really only paid the extra cash to see the DotM trailer in 3D, then it wasn't attached. Better than the previous two movies, not as good as the first. Don't waste money on 3D. It added nothing at all to the movie.
The Mechanic: Alright. Lacked on story, character development. Had some good action sequences, but nothing special.
I've just seen the movie. It's not that bad. I thought it would be worse but went to see it because of the previous ones and because of the DOTM 3D trailer.
I just wanted to clear one thing. The movie is shot in 3D on Red camera not Fusion. I loved the 3D. It was great, it's idea was not to throw things towards the camera but to give a 3D effect in a very subtle and elegant way. The first 3D that I like after Avatar.
See I'm actually one of the people that loved the 2nd and 3rd movies. I dunno, I guess I'm a sucker for massive, bloated sequels that people often accuse these movies of being.
Meanwhile, On Stranger Tides is taking a beating for not having enough, apparently. Well, I will say it's a lot more dialed down compared to Dead Man's Chest and At World's End. (I mean let's face it, it's hard to top a big bad who had a groundbreaking hyper-realistic CGI tentacle beard. Though, Blackbeard had his own unique flavor of awesome.) But for me, it had enough to be an entertaining movie experience.
Really, because I could have sworn I saw "Fusion 3D System" or something like that in the credits. Huh.I just wanted to clear one thing. The movie is shot in 3D on Red camera not Fusion. I loved the 3D. It was great, it's idea was not to throw things towards the camera but to give a 3D effect in a very subtle and elegant way. The first 3D that I like after Avatar.
But if the 3D is that subtle, then why need it? I want stuff to pop up in my face, that's what usually sells a 3D movie. Avatar is different, because the idea of the 3D behind that was to put you in another world, and it worked. It had "foreground, mid-ground, and background." A perfect example was the scene with the seeds from the tree of life. While not popping up in your face, they looked as if you could reach out and grab them!
With On Stranger Tides, it seemed to me as if the crew got a hold of these Red 3D Cameras, and treated them as standard 35 mm 2D cameras. I didn't feel like I was watching a 3D movie.
With that in mind, I'm pretty confident that the 3D in Dark of the Moon is going to be amazing, because aside from the use of the cameras, they shot the film treating it like a 3D movie.
"The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they're genuine." - Abraham Lincoln
I know what you mean. I just liked the great stereo effect that the movie had. If you remove your glasses you won't have problems watching the movie too because the 3D is not that hard. But if it was not 3D it would have felt flat.
