Wild at Heart: Excellent mix of comedy and drama with bizareness from David Lynch and stars Nicolas Cage who is a fave actor of mine for a long time.

Coraline on Blu-Ray: Amazing animated movie, probably the best animated movie of 2009 and 2009 was a fantastic year for animation. Nice to see a break from CGI to being more in the Rudolph/Nightmare Before Christmas kind of stop motion animation and this masterpiece is original, creative and dark that even audiences made it number 1 for 2 weeks at the box-office even in 3D.

Creepshow on Blu-Ray: One of my first horror movies i saw as a kid back in the 80's i even saw the sequel in a theater at age 5 and enjoyed it.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians on Mystery Science Theater 3000: One big trainwreck of a film that deserved to be riffed by the robots and their human owner crew, one of the funniest episodes ever.

All Star Superman: Just another brilliant DC animated direct-to-DVD feature that shines on Blu-Ray, go watch it.

Let Me In - I really enjoyed it, a nice change from the vampire films/series' we have floating around at the moment.
I Spit On Your Grave - Pretty good, I was expecting less, but it was pretty decent.
Monsters - You could of done this film without the monsters I guess, I liked the acting, and the characters a lot. Just a bit of a waste of time calling it Monsters, and even bothering to have them in it.

    Tron: Legacy -- AMAZING!!

Season of the Witch -- Was alright, but I felt like the ending was a bit... overdone?

How To Train Your Dragon -- Granted, I've seen this about a million times now.

Howl's Moving Castle -- Updating my Miyazaki movies. I think, by far, this one is my favorite.

Unknown -- Liam Neeson is freakin' fantastic in action movies/thrillers, one of my most favorite actors.

Say Duracell, have you seen the original Swedish film from 2008 that inspired Let Me In known as Let The Right One In? excellent vampire drama for adults and been known as the film "Twilight" should have been, i enjoy both LMI and LTRI. Which I Spit on Your Grave are you speaking of? 1978's infamous video nasty classic or the recent remake?

Piranha (2010) on Blu-Ray: Goofy, gory, cheesy and sexy fun for everyone, a brilliant remake of a campy 1978 Roger Corman Sci-fi horror comedy classic that has all the right ingredients.

Saw The Final Chapter on Blu-Ray: A well put together final chapter of the long running franchise much like Elm Street, Friday The 13th, Halloween or many more.

Heat on Blu-Ray: A 90's classic and one of the best remakes of all time, Michael Mann made his masterpiece here.

I enjoyed LMI a lot so I will probably give the original a go, it seems to be worth it. And with ISOYG I saw the recent one, wasn't too sure whether the original was any good?

The original is quite good but was once banned in your country as it has longer scenes of rape and brutality especially that cutting off the dick in the bathtub scene that made me cringe and horrified when i was 15 when i saw it 16 years ago on video after hearing so much about it.

Do you think it's on par with other great horror genre remakes like The Thing, The Fly, Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead (1990), Willard, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), King Kong (2005), Cat People, Halloween, Evil Dead 2 (A remake of the first movie and sequel combined), Toolbox Murders, 2001 Maniacs, The Hills Have Eyes, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 2001 Maniacs, Piranha, Friday The 13th, Cape Fear, Little Shop of Horrors etc.?

You should also check out Last House on The Left (1972 and 2009), Maniac (1980), Cannibal Ferox, Switchblade Romance, Inside, Martyrs, Ichi The Killer, and House on The Edge of the Park if you enjoyed I Spit on Your Grave.

The Last House on The Left (1972) on Blu-Ray: More horrifying than it's remake, i always liked this sick and harrowing shocking debut from Wes Craven. It's a make you feel dirty after watching kind of movie and has a scene that will make guys cringe badly. If you can handle it, see it.

Pom Poko in it's Japanese language with subtitles version: Awesome Ghibli masterpiece produced by Miyazaki Hayao who always make animated gold, it's an interesting eco-saving message story that doesn't preach but tells subtle kind of manner about Raccoons that are shapeshifters and even take on human form to help their forests.

Monster House on Blu-Ray: The best of the Robert Zemeckis animated movies, the best animated and most well thought of.

Beowulf on Blu-Ray: Awesome adult CGI animated fantasy in the Lord of the Rings and Shrek tradition.

The Last Of the Mohicians on Blu-Ray: What can i say? a modern classic.

Thanks friend for posting also little comments about the movies that you've seen. It's much more useful than posting just random names.

The Last Unicorn on Blu-Ray: A great underrated animated fantasy classic from the 80's from the makers of Thundercats plus great voice actors like Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury, Alan Arkin, Brother Theodore and Christopher Lee. I adored this since i was a kid and perfect for all ages as it's a dark and unique adult animated movie with tears, darkness and feel good stuff plus a sexy toon chick for the guys but not quite on Jessica Rabbit quality.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: Weak but good sequel as i think part 3 will be better, those twins kind of got on my nerves.

Ichi The Killer on Blu-Ray in it's Japanese language version with subtitles: Horrifying and shocking yet hilarious cult Japanese/Korean/Hong Kong horror-action-comedy import based on a graphic comic book. It's very similar to Kick-Ass but predated it as it's about a modern avenger with sharp as blades skates as he slices and mutilates criminals and rapists for a insane criminal with a glasglow smile and a fetish for torture/S&M/Self-mutilation goes searching for him. There are scenes of shocking stuff like people getting their nipples sliced, heads being sliced in pieces, torture even with cooking oil, a few rape scenes etc. It's disturbing but comical and cartoony at times. Kakihara the villain in this movie influenced Ledger's Joker.

    3D.

Well, back to back with the original and as far as a sequel is concerned, this is a fantastic reboot.

The story feels a little bit too linear, but it is still good enough. The CGI is excellent - visually stunning. Love the recognizers. Even the CGI on CLU is bluffing... What is the deal with some people complaining?

Surprisingly, TRON ends up playing like a character driven movie… and everybody gets a fair share. But characters like Rinzler - who truly kicks ass - gets criminally underplayed at the end.

But in the end, the real winner here is the soundtrack - and I don't mean it as a DP fan. The movie and the soundtrack really work well together… The introduction of the Recognizers at the beginning is priceless. I actually rediscovered the soundtrack after I saw the film.

In other words, TRON is an Happy Meal without the Milk Shake.

BTW r, Gem may walk like a freaking' Playmobil but she's still the hottest.

t… off I go now - to the "update" thread - to get some chapstick.t

The Fighter - Enjoyed it, not sure about Markies plans on doing a sequel though. It was a good movie, leave it there.

Avatar: Extended Edition Blu Ray 1080p - Beautiful. First time I have seen the movie in HD, and it was a beautiful thing. Loved it.

Avatar is an awesome movie, saw it 13 times in theaters and twice in it's re-issue special edition because i had to wait a year for the extended cut Blu-Ray and the extended version is the one that beats other cuts. It's like Cameron combined Dances with Wolves, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Transformers, Heavy Metal, Princess Mononoke, Last of the Mohicans, Broken Arrow (1950 western with Jimmy Stewart), Star Wars Trilogy, Dune, Ferngully, Star Trek movies, Serenity, The Dark Crystal and Willow in one blender don't you think DB?

Bambi on blu-Ray: A masterpiece that looks and sounds more better on high def like never before! i still remembered seeing it twice in it's 88 re-issue as a kid and having the Mcdonalds toys even i cried when Bambi's mom died. Who didn't?

The Prowler (1981) on Blu: Looks decent on high def, this slasher classic has the goods even gory make-up effects by Tom Savini.

    Pod People
on Mystery Science Theater 3000: A stinky Spanish-French E.T./The Thing wannabe with good laugh value deserved to be on my favorite TV Show ever.

The Thing (1982) On Blu-Ray: Now that i own both Blu-Ray and DVD, this one offers the sharpest picture. A classic Sci-fi horror movie and the greatest remake of all time! Carpenter made a masterpiece of terror and suspense, i hope the prequel does justice.

Megamind on Blu-Ray: Fun and enjoyable but inferior to Despicable Me which was the better villain as hero CGI animated movie of 2010.

Heavy Metal on Blu-Ray where they sell it only at Best-Buy: Looks sharp and sounds terrific in high def, this has always been one of my favorite animated movies of all time since i was 12 about 18 years ago when i saw it on TBS with Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, American Pop and Rock and Rule as it was love at first sight. A great quality animated Sci-fi/horror/fantasy anthology for the guys with good for it's time animation, tons of sexy sometimes nude animated babes like Taarna the warrior, the voices of John Candy with Harold Ramis and Eugene Levy and of course a fantastic soundtrack by Cheap-Trick, Devo, Ozzy Osbourne and more with Elmer Bernstein. This movie with the magazine comics of HM influenced Avatar, Blade Runner and The Fifth Element.
