Actually it was Chris Tucker, not Rock. Chris Tucker is from Friday and Rush Hour series, remember?

Fifth Element is awesome, i loved it since i was 15 seeing it in a theater 3 times. One of my favorite Sci-fi, fantasy, action and comedy movies. Do you think it was the Avatar of it's time?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles on the new special edition DVD: Great extras and great movie i adored since i was 14, my fave comedy of all time.

Say Primesgirl1981, ever seen the original movie of Clash?

Clash of the Titans (1981) on Blu-Ray: Better than the ok remake and looks great on HD.

Survival of the Dead: Just as bad as Diary of the Dead, George Romero did well with his zombie trilogy and Land should have been the last one.

Ah yes Mr. X, The Fly (1986) is a David Cronenberg masterpiece and one of the best remakes of the genre. I adored it for years and better than the cheesy 1958 version which is kind of laughable today, this remake hits you in the heart and stomach. You should check out another David Cronenberg masterpiece called "Videodrome" with James Woods and he also did the comic book movie "A History of Violence".

    The Crazies by Breck Eisner

Solid horror flick with good mood and pacing. Great technical aspects and some good sequences. Nothing very surprising but effective.

Special mention to the cast; Love to see Radha Mitchell (Scream queen 00s) and Tymothy Olyphant (cool guy).

Despicable Me. It was unexpectably touching and very funny. Much funnier than I thought it'd be. I figure the minions would carry the whole film but it wasn't so.

Have you seen the original 1973 movie of The Crazies by George Romero? do you know it's a remake? one of the best horror genre remakes around don't you think?

Bought the Dario Argento 5-Disc Starz/Anchor Bay collection boxset. Watched the special edition DVDs of Tenebre and Phenomena (a.k.a. Creepers) which were included besides Trauma, Card Player (Argento's weakest but still nice) and Do you like Hitchock (Probably his worst movie yet).

If you like horror and slasher movies, i recommend Tenebre which is an excellent psychological horror thriller from Italy by the master of Italian horror Dario Argento of Suspiria fame. John Saxton of Black Christmas (1974) and A Nightmare on Elm Street plus Enter the Dragon fame stars in it. I also recommend Phenomena (aka Creepers) which features a hot teen Jennifer Connelly and Donald Pleasance (Dr. Loomis from Halloween) about a demented madman who hacks up Swiss girl school students and a student with a professor and chimp track down the killer as the student has the unique telepathic powers to communicate with insects. Good gore in both and great storytelling, both must sees for horror fans.

Thanks. He's actually much bigger than that, now. Almost 70lbs. And go see Despicable Me. I heartily recommend it. It's very James Bondy which is another huge plus in my book.

The Killer (1989): NOW THIS IS A ROCKING HONG KONG ACTION FLICK! John Woo made good trademark action moves, Chow Yun Fat stars in this thrilling and bloody thriller that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Back in 97 when i was 15 turning 16 this was my first John Woo movie with Hard Boiled, i was glad he hit big with Face/Off. If you like Woo and action movies i suggest checking this out! it's always been a fave of mine for years since i was teenhood that even some of my friends loved with HB, this even looks and sounds great on Blu-Ray.

Ichi The Killer (2001) on Blu-Ray: I always enjoyed this baby since i saw it at a limited theatrical midnight screening at one of the city's local theaters. This shocking Japanese horror comedy action movie is based on a very violent and sexually explicit comic book, Kakihara the S&M and body-mutilation fetish yukuza boss is just awesome. This movie is very influential as it lead to recent torture movies from the Saw and Hostel franchises to all the way of the look of Dark Knight's joker. This one isn't for the faint of heart due to realistic if at times cartoony gore and torture like a nipple being sliced off with a razor, guys being sliced in half with sharp blades (CGI effect) and mutilation galore with 2 scenes of rape. The film is basically about a Daredevil-esque crybaby hero who finds rapists, criminals and Yuzuka members for he has special blade shoes that can mutilate them in pieces as a boss is searching for him who killed his men. You have been warned but good viewing for fans of Asian cinema, horror, gore and comic book movies. It also looks great on Blu-Ray as well.

Watchmen Ultimate Cut on Blu-Ray: Awesome movie that just got better with the Pirate animated story intercut in it with the killer cut.

Avatar Special Edition 3D: One of the best movie experiences of my life since i saw it on opening day, i saw it about 14 times in a theater and this edition got better. It's a good thing i didn't buy the bareboned Blu-Ray as it was rental material, i'm waiting for the 4-Disc Blu-Ray which i shall get this christmas.

Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick on Blu-Ray: The first movie is a quality Sci-fi thriller that i loved since i saw it in theaters as it looks even better in high def. The sequel is inferior but still looks great on high Def as well as it also comes with the kick-ass animated Riddick movie from the creator of Aeon Flux.

I Spit on Your Grave (1978) on DVD: Now this movie is a truly uncomfortable horror-drama to watch! this one is more ghastly than both Last House on The Left movies. The rape scene last 10 minutes long as this movie is about a woman writer who leaves New York for a while into the countryside for a mini-vacation until some backwoods rednecks gang-rape her as they leave her for dead but she isn't. She gets revenge in the most gruesome ways on those rednecks, you have to see them for yourself even the infamous castration that still makes many men even like myself for years cringe. I can't wait for the remake coming out in September which should be good.

Pirahna 3D; What a fantastic genre remake much like the director's The Hills Have Eyes remake! one of the better genre remakes of lately. Sexy, bloody and fun much like the 1978 classic that i adored as a kid.

The Expendables. Probably the biggest action movie of 2010.

    Underworld

Not exactly an action movie, but a long and exciting 2 hours action sequence. Fast paced, exciting, charming, stylish and full of twists. But the best part of the movie is the cast; Kate is an awesome action lead, Bill Nighy is freaking god, Michael Sheen gives a very strong performance, the same for Shane Brolly.
