Si vis pacem para bellum...
Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 Blu-Ray
Ferngully The Last Rainforest on 2-Disc Special Edition DVD: Great movie, loved it since i was 10/11 when i saw it in theaters.
Santa Claus The Movie on Blu-Ray: Classic 80's cult fave that is one of my childhood christmas faves that i still enjoy, John Lithgow is a hoot.
As of late -
Inception
Knight and Day
Sorcerer's Apprentice
Explorers
It's a Wonderful Life On Blu-Ray: Amazing for an old movie on high def and a true timeless classic.
Black Christmas (1974): Awesome Christmas horror flick and one of Bob Clark's best for Christmas Story
A Christmas Carol (1984): One of the better Scrooge productions, Patton himself George Scott played Scrooge well.
A Christmas Carol (1951) Probably the best film version of Charles Dickens' novel.
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them."
-John Wayne (The Shootist)
Gremlins: An awesome christmas classic that i loved as a kid and saw the 1985 re-issue in theaters at 4, great horror-fantasy-comedy with satire in it and entertainment.
Black Christmas (1974): One of my fave horror movies, this is from Bob Clarke and an influential slasher flick set around the holidays a must watch.
Black Swan
TRON:Legacy

Narnia 3 in 3D: Even better than 2 and manages to be the best of the series, i adored the books since i was a kid.
Just Friends: Perfect movie for the holidays and hilarious too.

So then,do you give it a thumbs up or down?
Sure did. Thumbs up. (story could have benefitted from being meatier though)Originally Posted by Hardkore
Watching it again in IMAX on Thursday night.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947): Can't beat the original masterpiece, one of my childhood faves.
I have to recommend this one Tim. Pretty good. A creepy descent into madness-type movie, using what ballet dancers may go through (competition, struggle for perfection, pressures, etc.), to drive the story. For the record, it was one that both my wife and I enjoyed. (she was looking forward to it as well)
If you're already familiar with Aronovsky's other movies, you know what to expect in terms of pacing. Out of his more recent work, this one plays out more like The Wrestler, rather than the Fountain. Mansell brings it again with the score, as well.
Check it out, let me know what you think.

"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
OMG i own Beetlejuice on Blu-Ray and i saw that movie 2 times when it came out in theaters when i was 6 going on 7, one of my childhood faves.
Just watch the movie remake of the A-team. What an absolutely ridiculously over-the-top batshit crazy flick... I loved every second.

"can you ban people who put other members quotes in their sig? if that is not a tell all sign that a person is going to be annoying i don't know what is."

Cronos on Blu-Ray: Such an awesome debut for Guillermo Del Toro, this Spanish-Mexican horror fantasy is as good as his masterpiece Pan's Labyrinth and stars Ron Perlman in it, a very good vampire movie for those that are bored with Twilight.
Videodrome on Blu-Ray: One of my favorite Sci-fi/horror movies of all time looks great in high def! David Cronenberg who made the brilliant Fly remake in 1986 made his finest movie here, James Woods rocks the boat and Rick Baker's grotesque make-up/gore hold up to this day.
