Downey at his best. Amazing film.

Harry Potter 7 part 1: Looks like the series is going with a bang on this.
Casablanca on Blu-Ray: A timeless classic that improves with age.
Just watched The Expendables. I think my television is leaking testosterone now.

Tangled: Great movie! Rapunzel is one hot toon as she's now on my top animated babes list with Taarna, Sailor Venus, Cheetara, Sailor Mars, Jessica Rabbit and other animated hotties especially Jasmine.
Avatar Extended Cut on Blu-Ray: My fave cut out of the 3 now to one of my new fave movies.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
As a non-Harry Potter fan, I gotta say this is probably my favorite of the whole series. I just wish I could see the whole thing in one night.
What I find funny is that when I went to see this with my cousin, she told me that fans complained "they left too much stuff out from the book." Uhhh...it's a freakin two part 4+ hour extravaganza! How much could you possibly leave out?! The whole intention was to make two parts to get as much out of the book as possible. (and to make more money of course.)

That's why I love Oliver Stone.
Don't know how many times I've seen that movie.

they left the bit out with dean helping harry potter bury the elf. All the stuff with dean and those boys thats about all i can remember from the book. it was good movie but i know what is to come so was dissapointed with waaiting for next installment
just wish ppl would stop using the cinema as their bedroom![]()
Yep. The reason they splitted it up was because the book was long, and because it is the last part of HP. And I really gets annoyed by people who say that the movies don't follow the books. Damn the movies should have been like 4 hours long each in order to do that. Especially HP and the Order of the Phoenix would have been awfully long if they should have done that.
I watched the midnight premiere on this one wednesday 17..it was awesome! And I am no HP fan either but have watched all movies so far and will watch the last part when it gets out in June, and I have read all the books.

Some things in the books don't translate well into film, or it would just make the movie too long and bore the audience. Some book references did make their way into other media though. The sphinx in the maze from Goblet of Fire made it's way into the Lego Harry Potter game.
And I gotta say this about Deathly Hallows Part I, for a movie that technically didn't have an ending, it had a pretty killer ending. It left me thinking, "oh f*ck."
You're seeing it in June? It doesn't come out till July for us. Is June when it comes out in Denmark?

Of course some books don't translate well on film! Dune by David Lynch is an example, it's good as a Lynch movie but kind of bad as an adaptation of my fave novel. Lord of the Rings translated all 3 novels well.
Die Hard 1 & 2 On blu-Ray: Bought these at one of my local city's wal-mart on black friday, they look and sound terrific in high def and perfect for the holidays.
Scrooged: One of my childhood faves! i saw this back 22 years ago when i was 7 in theaters 3 times and loved it, a hilarious modern take on the tale of Scrooge.
The Departed on Blu-Ray: Bought this on Black Friday as well for a great price, such a new crime classic and one of the best remakes ever.

Koepp should direct more movies. He did an awesome job with this.

Fantasia (Blu)
Space Battleship Yamato (2010)
The movie's VFX was way shabbier than Hollywood movies', but not too bad as a live action Starblazers. Almost faithful to the oiginal, and some nods were nicely done, too.
Only downside is the leading actor Takuya Kimura (Kodai/Derek). This J Pop idol was just himself through the entire movie as he's been in his past Monday nights rom-coms. Except for that, the movie was overall enjoyable.
Now they're showing movie props at Akasaka Sakas, Tokyo. I had a cup of coffee in front of 50' long Yamato (Argo) replica.

I've just watched Kick-Ass for the 10th time to show it to a friend, now he dosen't ask me anymore why I have a strobe weaponlight mounted on my USP.45
Sora, any news on an international release?
Ps: I was at Luccacomics last month (biggest comic convention in Italy, maybe even in Europe), there was a moving model battleship Yamato made by two cosplayers, I'll post a photo if I find it (and if it's ok with you, not too off topic I mean...)!
Si vis pacem para bellum...
Ok, here it is, not as impressive as I remember, but consider that it moved on the city streets among people for 3 days! :lmao
Just remove it if it's considered OT![]()
