Scott Pilgrem is a great comic book movie and so is Kick-Ass, i own both graphic novels myself. I gotta say KA is more rougher in the comics, if you like that one check out another great but sleazy and gory as hell graphic novel based movie called "Ichi The Killer" which is as funny and brutal as KA only more violent.

Blade Runner Workprint On the five-disc Blu-Ray special Edition: This movie gets better with viewing and been my favorite movie since i was 14 in the mid-90's, this workprint shows different things than four cuts combined.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) on Blu-Ray: Looks brilliant and stunning for a 37 year old film in high-def, what' s there to say? it's a classic of horror.

    Outland

Fine space western with really great mood. But flawed; it has not enough suspense to be a thriller and is not intense enough to be an action movie.

    Rating 7,0

    Pandorum

Nearly great Sci-Fi thriller. It could have been a truly masterpiece without the monsters.

    Rating 7,7

I absolutely love this one. It brilliantly succeed in the huis-clos genre, pretty much like Silent Running. You should try this one.

Silent Running's great i enjoyed that since high school in the late 90's as well as Outland.

Pandorum was damn good, sort of like The Thing meets

The Blob (1988): Brilliant underrated remake of a cheesy 50's Sci-fi horror flick, this movie marked one of Frank Darabont's earliest projects as co-writer and producer. Matt Dillion was fun as the punk guy who saves the day from the intergalactic ball of slime invading the town. Shawnee Smith before "SAW" stars in this one too, if you like Sci-fi horror movies give this a try. I loved it since i was 7 years old when i saw it in theaters.

Nausicca: Valley of the Winds: A kick-ass adult animated Japanese Sci-fi fantasy adventure in the mode of Star Wars and Frank Herbert's Dune, it's from master animator Hayao Miyazaki who did Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Totoro and more. This is one of James Cameron's favorite movies of all time and inspired Avatar, i always loved this one since it was in it's original 1985 New World Pictures release "Warriors of the Wind" when i was a kid but glad Disney got the rights and released this uncut and with a better dub from actors like Shia Labeouf, Chris Surandon, and more. If you love Avatar, Sci-fi, adventure, action and want a great animated movie then see this work of art.

C.H.U.D. (Canabalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller). I finally had the chance to watch this 80's classic.

Ju-on. The film that was remade as The Grudge. While the Effects are not as good it's still creepy as hell and there are elements in this film that were later used in The Grudge 2.

CHUD is a great b-movie, loved it since high school.

Ju-On is awesome too, if you liked that one check out the Japanese "Ringu" movie including Ichi The Killer which is an excellent Japanese/Korean/Hong Kong horror comedy that is horrifying to the core but funny as hell.

Nosferatu (1922): I bought the 2-Disc fully restored special edition and this has been another high school fave of mine for years, such a masterpiece that introduced vampires to cinema.

Piranha 2 The Spawning: James Cameron's debut is easily his worst movie and black sheep! this cheap-o sequel to the Joe Dante horror classic is so bad it's good as you'll see why Cameron disowned it.

Wicked City (1987 version) on DVD: One of my favorite animated movies! this adult animated Sci-fi/horror/fantasy/action thriller is like The Hidden meets The Thing and X-Files, erotic violent and brilliantly animated. From the maker of Ninja Scroll.

A Fistful of Dollars on Blu-Ray: The first of the Dollars trilogy, Clint Eastwood made an impression on this one as the man with no name.

Starman i loved since i was a kid, 9 is a great work of adult animation, 30 Days of Night is this century's Near Dark (Do you think R-Type), and The Prestige is another Nolan masterpiece.

    9 was freakin' amazing.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet: Little Shop of Horrors anyone? If your not into musicals you won't like it, but the puppetry on the plant is a true spectacle. I know there's a thread about The Dark Crystal (also a great movie), and I think both movies had the same director.

More recently though: Toy Story 3, Scott Pilgrim, Inception, etc...

    Machete

Awesome, extremely funny. Good to see Trejo and Seagal together with De Niro. And I'm glad to see Michelle Rodriguez having important roles, I love this girl.

And besides all the comic-violence and the gags, I found it to be a very healthy experience.

    Best from R. Rodriguez.

Iron Man 2 on DVD. The Two disk version is OK, but the special features are a bit disapointing.

The Dark Crystal rocks, one of my top 100 movies of all time since i was a kid. I did made a thread on The Dark Crystal here, did you know they are making a sequel? should be cool. I think TDC is better than Labyrinth, do you think Lbrosfilm?

Ooh Little Shop of Horrors is an awesome movie, funny as hell and good songs too, i saw that in theaters with An American Tail back when i was living in St. Louis when it came out in november of that year.

Hardware is a great British Sci-fi cult fave, one of my teenhood faves and has that Terminator/Blade Runner feel.

    Anyway:

Iron Man 2 on Blu-Ray: Great movie, cool extras.
Ninja Scroll: NOW this is a total kick-ass animated movie you guys outta see, it's one of Japanimation's greatest hits as it has babes, gore, violence, nudity, a good storyline, action and more as it's one of Bay's favorite animated movies.
Cabin Fever Director's Cut on Blu-Ray: Since it's halloween month and a time for horror movie watching i'd start of with this, a nice and enjoyable homage to 80's and 70's horror shockers.

Death Hunt(1981) starring Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin. Based upon the true story of "The Mad Trapper" Albert Johnson.

Yeah! The 2-disc ultimate edition for the first movie was LOADED with special features. Oh well, there is a digital copy for this one. Yay.

    Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Good performances by Shia and Michael Douglas, but, in all, I found it disappointing. It never seemed to find its pacing or to grab hold of me. . .and I say this has someone who watches current events closely
