Love it man! My one thing I could suggest is that since he's a communications expert/intelligence gatherer he should have sensors all over the place. Almost as if he can see/hear/smell in all directions at once. Imagine if you have the two eyes on the front but then there's one on each side and another on the back of the head.

Crap, there's a Dale Brown novel with something similar, gimmie a min to think about the title. Got it, the title's "Act Of War" and there's a mobile robo-suit that has those properties. Think cross between Tom Clancy novel and an Iron Man comic. http://www.megafortress.com/17.htm

Would you say it's necessary to be able to see the sensors? If not, we could just pretend that the sensors are there, just out of sight!

Yep, I tried to keep him blocky. His design is all sharp angles and boxes!

The tires are hidden under his feet (in halves) and on his back. His spare tire is loaded in his chest ready to 'eject' as Ravage. Notice that it says 'RAVAGE RADIAL' on his wheels? The spare can detach while the vehicle is moving and transform into Ravage as it rolls.

The satellite dish is retractable when in robot mode. It is stored in his left shoulder and can pop up when he needs it. Incidentally, the satellite dish transforms into...Laserbeak!

Yeah, that's Timshinn's/Mitgas's work. The designs are all the result of an online poll I started at DM.Net.
The idea was to let the fans decide an alt-mode for Soundwave. The artists on the site would then submit a design based on the winning vehicle, which ended up a military truck called the Balkan MK6.

I was hoping you were talking about a design of your own!

Both look awesome But i would have to say i like the head of the one StefsChemicalRomance posted up. It looks very similar to the decepticon symbol in shape (perhaps it wasnt incidental?).

I wish i could make something like that...

I like the designs/concepts however they won't work with the current production design of the movie. I don't think bay is about to change his whole production outlook that would just be nutso plus It doesn't really look alien enough.

They are well done though. Personally I like dynamo's a little more. nothing personal StefsChemicalRomace

I like the Ravage idea, but that needs to be a huge tire in order to give Ravage a proper size... Or else he'd as big as a chihuahua compared to a small transformer...

I say make Ravage a cutom Sportbike, that would make him the size of a medium size bear!

I thought of a Chopper first but there'snt enough mass on a chopper.

Then Soundwave could be a pick-up truck, of course with a blue color scheme and some yellow lettering.

Alt-mode: Company car for a phone company/Cable company/electrician company

Face # 2 reminds me of a samurai. The face on Dynamos should have this face. The one on his seems to be a little weak to me.
