    Default The Karate Kid (2010)

Yahoo! just released the trailer, all I can say is oh dear..

Starring Jackie Chan, for some reason I prefer Jackie in roles he just kicks butt, considering he has been in so many English movies his speech still seems very poor. It also stars Will Smiths son, Jaden and Taraji P. Henson.

The music used, the dialogue in the trailer all made me want to forget this film ever went into production. It really is a flop already.

Not even going to watch the trailer.

How could someone remake The Karate Kid? One of the definitive movies of the 1980's in my opinion.

Not to be harsh, but Will Smith's son is not a good actor.

The first one was classic. The second was just OK. They should have stopped at the first one.

That trailer makes me just want to stab my eyeballs out with a spork. This is on my list of "Must NOT See" movies.

Frozen looks like a good horror flick and i like Adam Green's work from Grace to Hatchet.

I think a Karate Kid remake is totally un-needed but you gotta remember that not all remakes are bad like The Thing, The Fly, The Departed, King Kong and more.

I agree HC not all remakes are bad. My fav remake is Scarface. Though it's not better that the original 1931 classic it IMO is the best remake.
I just can't see a Karate Kid remake doing so well.

I'm actually looking forward to this flick. I've enjoyed all the Karate Kids so far (I even mildly enjoyed the 4th). I can think of any reason, not to watch this film.

    :wtfWHAT?!!

You've got to be kidding me. Why on Earth would you want to remake The Karate Kid? What more could possibly be added to it to make it as good or better than the original?

Well I wasn't expecting this but apparently this remake is the 2nd highest rated research screening in the history of Sony Pictures.

The movie doesn't look that bad, especially with Jackie Chan in it. I'm just at a loss as to why they had to call it Karate Kid..... They couldv'e called it Kung Fu Kid and they couldv'e gotten away with it not being called a remake...
Oh and BTW, I hate that fukkin' song in the trailer that was in every other movie that involved fighting...

Kung Fu Kid would have been a better title and that would have been superior.
