I had a great weekend that started out crap, first my sciatica was playing up and I pulled a back muscle so I spent an hour at an Acupuncturist. I don't care what people say, you can still feel those small needles, especially when you have about 20 sticking out of your back! Anyhow Saturday, I was at an awesome car show that my partner took me to, to make feel better! He succeeded!

yes I have a few droolicious pics for you Connie, I didn't forget about our resident car nut! There was this Corvette, perhaps a recent one judging by the low frame, possibly a C3 about five years old? Anyhow, the owners had taken the front end of a Bel Air '57 and the rear of an Impala perhaps (don't know rear ends of cars that well, I could be wrong) to make a Chevy special, as soon as I can get the pics off of my cell I will show them to you!

I hate some of these new motherboards. I'm talking about the ones with the sata ports facing out toward the hdd. The older mb's ports faced toward the side panel. A client dropped off his rig so that I can install a new mb, cpu and, video card, but I'll be doggone if this is one of the smallest cases and my hands are too huge to get them where I need them. He may need to buy a new case anyways as his video card may be too long. But once complete this will be one badass gaming rig. I'm almost jealous.

how does the xbox 360 compare to a big gaming rig?

Let's see...where do I start.

1. Consoles games play with 20-30 fps, but PCs play with 60+ fps (depending on the vid card and cpu). Consoles have 1280×720 and sometimes sub hd resolutions, but PC's have 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 (also depending on the screen size and vid card). Also PCs have better graphics (lighting, textures, shaders, etc).
2. Console gamers often strugge with the controller in fps. So, PC gamers have a little more control with a mouse and keyboard IMO.
3. There are tons of exclusives on PC gaming like Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Stalker, Crysis, Empire Total War, etc. If you like RTS and MMORPGs then PC is your only choice.
4. Plus the simple fact that there is so much more you can do on your PC than a console.

Now a little side note. You don't have to have an expensive $3,000 rig for awesome game play. My computer cost me $800 in hardware, and it plays everything I throw at it, with max settings. Technology wise my rig is behind 3 years, but it kills in gaming. I'll probably look at building another one sometime this year.
