I just got home with Tumble ( the Amigo) he makes you giggle when you drive him..slow but so much fun ( he is lifted and has 32 inch tires on top of it)

I have my 08 Subaru Impreza aka Holly..short for Holister.... the 94 Amigo aka Tumble ..short for Ruff and Tumble... and my 83 Subaru GL-10 coupe aka L.B....short for Lil Blue...cause he is blue.. he is my project/restoration show car who seldom sees the light of day since he isnt allowed to be exposed to the elements..so he stays snuggly in the garage.


then there is my Husbands 2001 Toyota Tacoma truck.. unnamed as he doesnt build a bond with them like I do

I have my Carousel Horses ( OK its the only girly thing about me... shoot me dammit) But I am extremely selective. And now that I have my REAL one it may be awhile before I get any more.

I go through phases of collecting toys from whatever I feel like collecting, spending God only knows amounts of money to collect everything from the set, then going and selling all of it when I need to.

I have my Carousel Horses ( OK its the only girly thing about me... shoot me dammit) But I am extremely selective. And now that I have my REAL one it may be awhile before I get any more.

I love carousel horses, too, Jazz. (Scary how much alike we are, sis!) I don't own any full size ones yet, but maybe someday! Back in grad school for my museum studies class, we made mock museums that we developed (on paper) through the semester. Mine was a memorial museum to war horses. The professor assigned me to pick some proposed pieces from an auction catalog of carousel horses. Most fun EVER!!!

I actually have an incredible amount of useless carousel history knowledge. I corrected a tour guide once at the New England Carousel museum on a certain carver. My full sized is a 1900-1920 Allen Herschell outside row jumper. It was originally an all wood but 2 of the legs have been replaced with Aluminum ones by the restorer ...not the broker I bought him through.( you could never tell unless I pointed it out to you)He came from a traveling carousel from the maryland/ virginia area.

Sounds beautiful. Herschell was a genius carver. I love his work.
