    Default Age Question

Since I'm not American and I was interested in how old Sam/Mikaela were, could somebody help me out?

I know in the first movie they are in grade 11, so how old would they be? 16?

In ROTF, they would have been 18?

Just some little facts I was interested in, thanks in advance for an answer.

Okay, so let's assume TF1 takes place in summer 2007. Sam was born October 10, 1990 (according to TFwiki), that makes him over 16 in the first movie. Fast forward to ROTF, which takes place in June 2009, he's 18, pretty much the most common age for college freshmen.

    So yep, you're right.

Yeah, its kinda confusing since no birthdate is given in the movie. I think I'll go with the TFwiki site. I think it is certain that he was in his late teens in TF2.

    Here in New York:

    16: Learner's Permit
    17: Junior License
18: Senior License (the full license)

I wonder how it works in California, where Sam lives.

What is a Provisional Licence? Is it where you can drive around by yourself but only at certian times?

I live in Ontario, and our lisence is:
Learners for 365 days at 16 years old and after that you can get your G2 which means you can drive anywhere...

California Provional licence is under age 18, 1 yr or until reaching age 18. The provisions are: no passengers under age 18, no driving from 11PM to 5AM, no texting or cell phone use, even hands free.

In TF1 he is in grade 11. It is mentioned during the scene where he is trying to sell/present his granadfather's items to his class

To get grade/age relationship for the US, basically add 5 years to the grade level. So, 11th grade=16 years old. Thats a rough estimate, depending on the school age cutoff date, etc.
