I have Norton and Windows Defender.

I bought those bandaids for my kids that I take care of. I wondered the exact same thing.

Guess it's the same reason both my OP and Twins M&M packages say 1 of 7... someone wasn't paying attention.

What version of Windows do you have? And what is WD telling you?
Maybe try starting your computer is safe mode and running the anti-virus stuff from there.

"By pressing the F8 key right when Windows starts, usually right after you hear your computer beep when you reboot it, you will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode. If it does not work on the first try, reboot and try again as you have to be quick when you press it."

You may need to delete junk from the registry...

If you need to take your computer in, back up anything important first, run some scans on it to make sure it's clean.

The virus is dead. No more naked surprises on my computer. Now I just need to dose my eyes in bleach to get rid of the dirtyness.

(no offense taken ) When he went to be ‘Gowned’ I had no idea what he was going to look like – a couple of people said the gowns look like something from HP…Poor Mark, the whole family burst out laughing when he came down the stairs from the gowning room.
