Well that's a pretty broad subject - Can you narrow it down any? What is it you exactly need to know?

Rodimus Prime:"Mmm... Don't suppose I could interest you in a used mantle?"

I know quite a bit, but really just how Hasbro came up with the idea, the history of the different TV shows, comics and toys. Then the creation of the liveaction movies. The writing in bold is what I need more help with the most.

    Thanks for replying

HERE'S WHAT I HAVE. IT'S NOT INTIRELY ACRITE, AND I'M STILL THINKING UP A GOOD CONCLUSION. THE SPEECH HAS TO BE 3 MINUTES, SO THERE IS NO ROOM FOR STUFF ABOUT PRIMUS AND UNICRON:

“Transformers! More than meets the Eye! Transformers! Robots in Disguise.” The Famous line to the theme song of the highest grossing Toy line of all time. Alone with ten types of comic series, 9 different TV series, an animated movie, and two live-action movies with a third already in development. Ladies and Gentlemen. The 25 year old franchise that made Hasbro famous, The Transformers.

The history for this groundbreaking franchise started in 1980 when a small community of people started making plastic and wooden toys. There name, Hasbro. Because of the small amount of money the company was making, two of the workers went of to Japan to see their toys and get inspiration. They soon found that a company called Katara had created robot toys that transform into toy cars and everyday objects. With this in mind, Hasbro returned to America and started to do something similar. They gave the robots a story and decided to make the vehicles the good guys, and turn the gear into the bad guys. The names Autobots, Decepticons, came out of that. In 1982, Hasbro got in touch with a cartoon company to create a cartoon for the toys. Once the show’s first series came out in 1984, as well as the toys, America turn Transformers obsessed.

With the success, Hasbro made millions, and in 1986 after three seasons had been shown, a movie was released. Following another 5 seasons, and a series of comic books. In the 1990s, a few more comic series were released and some new toys. A year later, a new TV series was released featuring the Transformers as animals. By the time of the 2000s, Hasbro had made Five Billion Dollars out of the franchise, and they continued creating new TV series and Comics and Toys.

After the success of “The Unicron Trilogy” a collection of three different series. Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron, in 2005 Steven Spielberg announced that a live-action movie version of the franchise would be made, with Action director Michael Bay set to direct. In 2007 the movie was released, and became the most successful film of the year. It changed film forever and created the largest use of CGI and visuals ever created for a film. Straight after a month of release, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg started work on a sequel. In 2009 the sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was released. Although Critics hated the sequel and praised the first film, for the fans, they loved them both. In history, only five movies have made more than a billion dollars, and Revenge is not too far behind to become the sixth. Work on Transformers 3 has begun set for a July 1st 2011 release.

I have been a Transformers fan for my whole life, and I cannot wait for the third film. The franchise has made me obsessed, hence choosing my talk on this. Transformers 1 is what made me want to become a film director, and one day I hope to reboot the series and do my own trilogy. The DVD for Revenge is out on the 20th, and I have already got my money ready. The one thing is, the series has been had critical problems, but you must think, when it comes to Transformers, what would you do to the franchise, I shall close with this, the motto for both fractions of robots: Protect or Destroy.

I don't know if I'll be of much help, I'm only really familar with G1 and Beast Wars history What you have done so far sounds okay, I would have given pretty much the same information you already have (Except you never mentioned BW!). I'm sure there are lots of transformer history-buffs out there that can help you

LOL I find it really bizarre that Transformers originated from a toy line in Japan, to be brought over to the USA to be made into a TV cartoon, only for Japan to then take the cartoon idea that the American's had crated from Japan's toy line, to make into another TV series, only for America to then take Japan's new TV series and dub it for US TV! :lol

I remember my first experience with transformers was the beast wars. It wasn't until the live movie came out that I became transformers crazy.
The G1 cartoon was a golden time for the line. Than it got canceled around 1987 and Transformers side-stepped out of the limelight. It has been around for the last 20 years but did not get the attention it had in the 80s. Then Spielberg announces the making of a live-action version and it starts a domino effect. Transformers are in the spotlight again and more popular than ever. Hence golden era number 2.
