Good.
No idea who he is, mustn't of seen any of his films but I hope he gets what he deserves.
Im curious to find out where was her parent or guardian?
If it's a good movie, the sound could go off and the audience would still have a perfectly clear idea of what was going on.
-Alfred Hitchcock
I wonder if a case can still proceed without the victim willing to drop all charges (as has been in this case).
I also wonder if this might not backfire with the case being dropped hence letting Polanski roam around the US as he pleases.
i heard about that.. he done rosemarys baby

Was he really "captured" per se?
But yeah, I'm not sure this'll pan out given it happened so many decades ago, especially if the woman wants to let it go.
Is it possible that someone put her up to saying it happened to get money out of a famous director? After all it sounds pretty incredible- Jack Nicholson got Polanski to bring her to to his house, gave her drugs and alcohol and... I mean, I'm not saying a lot of people aren't dodgey, of course.
And rapists should be punished... but only if guilty.

It's time to pay the price, mr. Polanski.
As well as I have understood this, the case of Polanski is already very much long. The procedure itself was topical... So which is problem, why this man was not caught already before. He is so famous, exactly here in Germany he is a known big film-maker. To him I would have pushed his Oscar best there where the sun does not appear!
Sam Witwicky: He peed on you? Bad Mojo! Bad!
Ironhide: Bad Mojo! Ugh, my foot's gonna rust...
If they do decide to move forward with this case then he's gonna get off. The victim isn't going to testify. That's the kiss of death for the prosecutors.
The judge rules, as they say. The victim claims to be okay, and wants the case to be dropped and that's fine for her, I guess, but it hardly serves our justice system or society to let a rapist get away just because he makes supposedly great films. Fuck Chinatown (about a rapist getting away, no less!), fuck his Oscar and fuck everyone who waives this off like it was nothing. It is not nothing to the woman who shiver in silence because they think they don't matter. The law is there for a reason. Furthermore, he gave our justice system the finger and just flitted off to France. If nothing else, they will get him for that.
"When you make something no one hates, no one loves it." - Tibor Kalman
I prefer to wait for all the evidence to be presented before condemning someone. Its actually the foundation of OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM. Innocent till PROVEN guilty. There have been many people who have been tricked or strong armed or blackmailed into taking a guilty plea when the evidence has never even pointed to them. That's why its the prosecution's ROLE or BURDEN is that despite a guilty plea they still need to present conclusive proof. Like I said where was her PARENT???? And yes I have a reason why I bring up that question.
And I don't see this girl shivering in the dark. She has found her balance and healed. She is the only one who deserves a sense of justice and she doesn't want it. Because it pointless now that she has moved on. She was stronger than the victim mentality.
So basically what the Justice system is doing is raping her again by bringing this up again. But you don't seem to have a problem with the justice system raping her for their own gain.
If it's a good movie, the sound could go off and the audience would still have a perfectly clear idea of what was going on.

Letting a rape go by unpunished would send a message that goes far beyond this girl's personal objections.
And Hanna... he plead GUILTY. So we can drop that part right now.
Well, if he plead guilty, then there should be repercussions. *A lot* of victims don't pursue their rapists etc. out of fears, or even because of the expense and time of a trial. That doesn't mean a rapist shouldn't be punished.
"to punish and enslave"
^ True. Though society is becoming in some cases pretty permissive about rape, child abuse etc. If the laws don't start being enforced for all, with punishments that fit the crime, this may become the norm. And the happy life of sunshine and puppies this planet will have...

i am done with any filmmaker or actor who cosigns this petition. Anyone who does in my opinion is basically saying rape is ok. the woman may have forgiven him but she is not saying she didn't get raped.
have to agree with drake. you might as well give rapist the green light. tell our daughters, mothers, and sisters that in this world they are worthless and dont deserve to be treated as human beings.
The filmmakers are sending a clear sign. If you make good movies, you are above the law. Disgusting and inappropriate.
I went over the list and while I am not throwing any movies or albums out, I will not be seeing or buying more from anyone on that list. Fry that mother fucker.

Yeah, I wouldn't throw out stuff I already owned, but... people's behaviour does effect whether I support their "art."

I support no rape! This tramp must go diffinitiv in the prison! And throw away please the key!
I am outraged about how many actors and directors exert themselves for him.
Where is there the morality?

Now- from what I gather, he was only supposed to serve a few days in prison, which the judge decided was crazy, and made it many years, so he skipped out of the country. Now- this case isn't about making him serve the rape time, it's only about leaving the country instead of serving his time?
Her mom was at home, the then child was brought there for some kind of photoshoot, and there was some "inappropriate" things going on, also with drugs and alcohol (t'was the 70's) is what's supposed to have happened.
