A reboot what? Michael Bay quitting the Transformers franchise what? Are you guys writing those things really serious?
Do you get the simple fact that he is not just the director but an executive producer of the movies, he was selected by Spielberg the other executive producer as the perfect director for the job and he has agreements and signed contracts that ensure him a good percentage of profits on both movies and merchandise?
He would be just crazy to quit the business just because some haters and bashers on this official forum or other forums are telling him to do that or so called professional critics paid by competitors are telling him to do that... that is not going to happen unless he goes out of mind I really don't see how he would ever want to commit a financial suicide, really.

After Transformers3 the franchise could continue with an high budget live action tv series featuring CGI by ILM like on the first movie maybe, to bring down costs--by 2012-2013 the CGI level of the first film should be cheap enough for a tv series, maybe a miniseries one like Taken of just 10 episodes that was produced some years ago by Steven Spielberg... far from cheap at the time.

And then by 2014-2015 they should release Transformers4 and start a new trilogy maybe set 10-15 years in the future or more featuring the sons/daughters of Sam and Mikaela characters that would be Headmasters and so on, that would stay true to various versions of the anime and comics that way.

I saw GI Joe yesterday and so many of the shots were copied from Bay, including one instance I can't remember now that looked like Bay's *actual* footage. Not to get into the movie or anything, but that aspect of it really, really bothered me. I felt so gross watching it. It was so ugly and lifeless that it felt spiteful. No one makes use of the light, the angles or the colors like Mike. You know immediately when you see it. I really want Pain & Gain (or whatever it may be called) to be next because shooting pyrotechnics is just ONE of his skills. I miss the range of it, if you will.

Didn't we have a poll about this somewhere. Something like what Mike should do next or something like that?
If it's a good movie, the sound could go off and the audience would still have a perfectly clear idea of what was going on.

    It's still there, too.

    Pain & Gain (original article)

The Island was great, btw. I just don't want him to get shoehorned and stop taking risks. I'm also looking forward to HBO's Cocaine Cowboys, his project with Bruckheimer.

Your main "allergy" is the way Bay directed TF2.

I and alot of my brethren here don't have that "allergy."

So please, for the last time, let the story's flaws', be your own superior opinion. I use the word superior because only superior people repeat themselves over and over and over again. Or insecure people. Whatever. You're repetitive.

I loved the movie regardless of your insults towards it and us, the fans. Yes, even though you insist you don't "insult" it, or us the fans, you do.

I understand that there are alot of people on this site that are much more learned than me.

I respect that there alot of people here that can probably write a better storyline than those that are credited.

But look man, fuck that shit. The movie made millions and broke records. Fuck the story and take a look at the numbers. If you're a sequential artist, wouldn't you like to make a little bit of money?

It was about interest. The biggest movie all summer was interesting. So please, put your superiority to a rest, and let all us "stupid" people be happy.

    Thank you.

The movie did what it was suppose to do, to wow the audience with some big rumbling robot action and big ka-boom. Makes big bucks at the box office. Sell toys. It's only a big blockbuster action flick, you can't have a concept any more simple than that. I don't find the reason to have to endlessly dissect it right to the nitty gritty. It's not made for that purpose.

^ Well, we'll have to wait and see what he does. If he wants to do a deep, thinking movie, or a comedy or whatever, more power to him! Whatever he wants...
I think he's been doing good so far, but maybe he wants some variety, or to try his hand at new things, which is also great!

Leave that to Paul W.S. Anderson - he's the guy for these kinds of movies.

Well, I would love to see another Bad Boys movie directed by Bay...but deep down I know that's not gonna happen.

I think Bay is done with the Bad Boys universe.

Bay needs to move away from the Transformers and direct Superman. His style of directing is what this iconic character desperately needs. The last 3 Superman movies have been incredibly boring and to small in scale. Bryan Singer was given 200+ million to do Superman Returns however the movie looked like it cost 100 million tops. To make a long story short, with the budget that Warner Bros is willing to allocate for this film combined with MB's artistry this will put most, if not all comic book movies to shame. And best of all. Warner Bros will not sit back and allow Marvel to make an Avengers movie with them answering with a mega hero movie of their own. And guess who they'll choose to direct that gargantuan movie payday of epic proportions? Michael fucking Bay!( Michael I really hope you consider this. There's already an undergound movement on the web for you to direct the next Superman).

Christopher Nolan took a "break" between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT to film THE PRESTIGE. Chances are Michael will take a similar break between TF2 and TF3 to shoot PAIN & GAIN.
