I noticed that part with Bumblebee was gone! I thought I was the only one that thought about that.

"What is your purpose...Sam" would have really helped the scene a lot more. It would also show that Bee's voice box is improving because he actually spoke the name "Sam."

And so the movie would have bombed.
Did you ever watch any of the anime series? Since G1 the series had humans as its key element or better yet the humans/aliens interaction. And you wanted to get rid of humans? It wouldn't have been even true to the franchise nor the original series anymore if that ever happened.

It was a bad mistake to have the Sam and Bumblebee in the garage talking scene shortened. The way Michael Bay filmed it was perfect, there was nothing wrong with it. We can only hope to see the full version of that scene along with many other deleted scenes in the Blu-Ray IMAX release for a Director's Cut/Extended cut. If even just half of deleted scenes were so good then an extended cut would be a lot better than the theatrical cut and they would be selling twice as many discs.

Maybe they wanted to keep Bee completely silent. It's sad because you swore he was getting so much better in the first one.

Would the movie bomb?? No..it did not and it would not..but what your saying is like Beast Wars would not work..even though for many TF fan it is the best of the continuation of the original series as its well written and thought out stories and tie ins to G1 but had one thing..no modern human interactions.

Much of the human interaction could of been toned down..it seemed like they were there just for comic duty most of the time.

I for one thought there was just enough human interaction to keep the movie in the realm of feeling real. Im sorry, but as much as everyone wants there to be next to no human interaction... it is needed. If the movie was all bots then it would just take place on Cybertron not Earth. The story is about their war coming to our home. You cant have a whole movie on Earth with no human interaction.

But human interaction is not all humor scenes.

Pretty much every second of the human interaction in ROTF was pretty much humor scenes that didn't really move the plot at all.

Thats the feeling I got..unless it was the military...

take in point Bad Boys..the humor fit in the movie and helped it along..it played a roll. This felt like it was forced to make people laugh.

I'm serious when I say this - I really don't know why some of the people here complain about the humor. You said the humor in "Revenge of the Fallen" didn't move the plot ( not that the humor in any movie should move the plot, but whatever... ). OK, then what about serious and dramatic films like "Titanic", "Pearl Harbor", "The Island", "JFK", "A Simple Plan"?

All of these films contain a lot of humor and I haven't heard people complain about that. So if we can have humor in these types of movies, why shouldn't we have humor in a summer movie like "Transformers"?

with the exception of maybe some of the robot humor, I think the human humor was put in the film where itneedd to be. Sam's mom was awsome and a great laugh. Leo's humor was great (i think) Simmons was better in this movie than the last. I didnt see a problem with the human side of the humor. And there was just as much human interaction that helped the movie along without humor being added. (And im not talking about the military)

Well, I could have done without seeing Simmons's man thong.

easy explination..some of it seamed forced..like the mentioned thong..

It was like every scene with the family had to have some comic relief..

Dont get me wrong some of it was good..but it was too much thrown in there.

The other thing is the comedy they were trying to pull off in many of the scenes..felt like it was a comedy movie..and TF is not..

The first transformers movie had the right amount of humor- there wasnt too much of it.

ROTF felt more like a comedy Sci-fi flick than a transformers movie.
Its like every 2 minutes in the film there would be some sort of a comical humor. But I guess all the explosions and action sequences make up for it.

Not at all. The humor elements are not bad nor too many in the movie. What the movie lacks is the scenes described in the novel that allow for a better pacing and give an insight on characters feelings and behavior along with a lot of humans/aliens interaction. On the movie almost all those scenes were deleted or shortened. If they ever filmed any of those or similar to those I really hope that they are working to re-integrate them in the Blu-Ray IMAX SKU release for an as much longer as possible Director's Cut/Extended cut.

Exaclty. So instead of wasting screen time on the humor elements. They should've used that screentime for more character depth like the novel.

Did anyone else notice in the scene with the appliances, the one on the table? He transformed and looked like he had a HUGE co*k. He shot bullets or whatever out his wiener!
