I saw ROTF Monday at a Rave theater. They use Digital DLP for projection. Has anyone else noticed a great deal of motion blur on these screens? Now I haven't been to a theater in a few years but I don't remember ever seeing this. :wtf

I had a similar issue when I saw it in IMAX-lite. It was only certain scenes, but they were blurry. I've heard DLP cinemas actually use two 2k projectors coverged to get the sufficient light output, which might be introducing the blur.

No that's just IMAX-lite. Digital cinemas just use 1 2K or 4K projector.
You can't spell film without ILM - Industrial Light and Magic
I don't know if this relates, but I saw the movie in two different film projector theaters and had a hard time making out the action when the robots were involved. Granted I think the second theater was a little out of focus.

Negative on the crazed motion blur.
Saw it in digital theaters but the motion blur was not as bad as Star Trek's.
That's just how the movie is. You can't see much most of the time lol.

Darth Vader
Saw the movie at an Empire theater. There was an issue with motion blur but I think it may have do with where you are sitting in the theater.
^ Me too! Only I didn't notice the blur for this black squiggly line down the whole middle of the screen for the entire screen, that by 2/3 of the way through was about 5 lines, moving all around... so annoying and distracting!! But Empire got rid of their Projectionists and just train the managers, who don't know what they're doing.
"to punish and enslave"
Okay, Just saw it again at our locally owned theater. I was further back this time and there was no motion blur. Which is great because I noticed a lot more stuff than the first time around.
