Just got the strangest visual from that... and it wasn't a sugar plum, but there was a splat, kind of a Willy Wonka/Three Stoges moment.

Well, it's been a long day and I've gone slap happy...
Wasn't Depp's Wonka, it was Gene Wilder's...see we've already established I'm older, okay... but it was him and Larry, Curly and Moe (Shemp and the rest of the stooges didn't register with my memories so much). Picture them with the infamous pie flying by one who ducks and hits the other SPLAT in the face.

I was noticing over on another thread that you were mentioning you and your fiance had seen TF x number of times and spent x dollars... I was going to note that there were other things to do with a fiance besides TF, then I remembered where I was and I did what you do so often, I slapped myself upside the head. And it hurt...that slapping bit.

No I have not read the book by Hoo Flung Poo, but if you hum a few bars I'll see what I can do... Sorry, Cat in the Hat voice. Long day...time to find a bottle of wine to go with dinner -- ttyl.

I love both versions for different reasons. Gene Wilder's awesome because well ... do I really need to explain?

As for the Depp version, I like it because I love Burton's work and I am not a big fan of musical, though this Sweeny Todd's got my attention.
