Funny how everyone beams in like a laser on this flick, yet let their beloved favs slip past the radar.

Why do the constructicons appear to be fighting in two places at once? Because you are stuck in G1 world. You went and assumed they were the same, despite everything pointing towards them being different.

Military weaponry DOES hurt the decepticons, unless you were asleep for the last battle and missed most of the first movie.

As for the rail gun... did you bother listening when Simmons even told the commander the specifics of the gun? And Devs wasn't moving. He was busy getting his suck on the pyramids.

Most of the questions asked can be answered by actually thinking about it for more than a second.
Can you help me understand one thing then. Ive heard the theory that a single constructicon can for Devastator as long as all the remaining, non transformer, individual pieces are nearby. Is this correct? If so a green dump truck with a Decepticon symbol was down in the pit when Simmons was hiding before Devastaor formed. At the same time Long Haul was searching for Sam etc. Is this correct? If so then another theory I heard is multiple robots scanning the same vehicle. Is this correct? Are any of these theories explained in the movie? yes or no?

Based on the fact that TF1 followed G1 very closely (with the exception of moderizing the vehicles and Megatron not being a hand held pistol) why would anyone go into the movie assuming anything other than the constructicons would follow G1 with modern skins?

So that leads me to my final question. Can you at least see why some people had a hard time figuring out the Constructicon thing?

yes, i see why it was confusing. I don't know if this is helpful at all, but when leon and agent S were down with the constructicons there were two other d-cons up the ridge (the one with sams parents was there and I think some other vehicle but i didn't get a good look at it) but neither of these two became part of the constructicon.....so if there were two others not part of the condtructicon why couldn't there have been more d-cons that just happened to look like construction vehicles that weren't part of the constructicon................good lord (that too much typing of d-cons and constructicon.......!

anyways, that's how I understand it.

And I get why sam couldn't use the shard on optimus....simply because he couldn't get there....too busy running for his life. (but that is a bad excuse maybe) I'll have to see the movie a third time to be sure....that might actually be a legit pothole. But it still wouldn't ruin the movie for me.

I agree, as I don't get these "professional" :wtfcritics, who love mainly art house crap or stuff people hardly see like "Milk", a movie I though was about farmers until I heard the part it was a bio film about a gay man :deadhorse1:, when they ignore & bag the 'cool' movies that audiences actually like.
Perhaps we should overrun the 'Critic' academy, and take over thier jobs.

I usually don't agree with critics, but it's hard for me to find a movie that i like so much and they bash so much and so in a harsh way.

Did the movie kill their parents or something that way?

    Did Bay stole their girlfriends?

For me it's hard to understand...

It wasn't explained, as it wasn't explained how the hell could exist a race like the Transformers. But... the twins scanned the same car, just changed the colour.

Also, if the same bot can turn into several diferent things (Frenzy in the First Transformers) why can't more than one robot turn into the same? The "disguise" is a quantum state and the Pauli exclusion principle doesn't allow them? lol

I think you are missing the point. The first movie explained a lot in that each alien robot came to earth in their natural form and all seeked out an individual form to scan. Each form was specific and reflected part of their fucntion or personality and it made each one unique. I understand this is a fantasy world and anything goes but I still think some form of order and consistancy should apply to that world if for nothing more than for storytelling. If half the people are confused you arent telling a good story or joke are you? Why doesnt every robot turn into a semi truck? Because that would be stupid. I understand that many are ok with the constructicons as they appear in the movie and thats totally cool. I would have thought if the storyteller wanted to diverge from the norm or introduce a new concept that there would have at least been a little screen time to indicate/explain to the audience whats is going on. That way everyone goes "holy cr@p" thats was awesome, instead of half the people saying :wtf.
I know Im :deadhorse1: and everyone is set in their feelings on the movie and nothing anyone else is going to say is going to change things. I thought the movie was good but I think a few minor changes ( 1) replace the twins with more screen time for Ironhide, Rachet, and Sideswipe and 2) remove a lot of the college stuff and stupid jokes for more focus on the constructicons as individuals) could have made it superior. I know nothing I say makes any difference what so ever so Ill shut up and keep playing the much better version of the movie in my head.

What a radio and a cell phone when his head got cut off? Regardless both were unique to Frenzy only. I understand they can scan any object similar in size. Im not sure what point you are trying to make. It was clear in TF1 who Frenzy was and there were not 6 cell phone transformers running around. I think your arguement is null.

    What i say is:

A robot can turn into anything of his size. That means similar sized robots have no restrictions on turning into the same thing. That means two robot can actually be the same vehicle. That means "random fighter decepticons" can have the same "vehicle form".

And in a movie any "bad guys" who doesn't do something important or talk is a "random bad guy"

The Stormtroopers where all of them the same, the orcs where all the same.

That is what the Decepcticons who just fight are, the "bad soldiers" of this movie. I don't think is so hard to understand... even without explanation.

Talking apples to oranges here. If the decepticons were just clone cannon fodder they why even take a form? Why take the form of some of the main recognizable characters? Using your analogy why not make every bad guy in Star Wars look like Darth Vader? Why have the people of Gondor and Rohan when they could all take the form of Gandlaf?
The reason it isnt hard for you to understand is you have rationalized it in your own head but it still stands there is no real tangable explaination in the movie. :deadhorse1:

No, you can't understand that one "character" that is similar that one you love in the animated series now is a random fighter. Is just a "companion of the bad guy" an "enemy soldier".

If that is indeed the case then yes I do not understand why the movie makers decided to do that when they had more than enough robots and material with the 7 new constructicons alone. My bad.

Budget. Every new CGI model you make adds extra $ needed for the movie.

and all transformers are descendents from the origanal transformers. They dont have offspring. The Allspark creates it and then its a descendnt from the origanal

You sure about that? There was that scene in TF2 where they talked about "hatchlings" and you saw something pop out of a yolk sack type thing.

After Ebert's comments towards readers, the only "professional" that I like is Richard Roeper. He is laid back.

Damn, now I have to watch it a 5th time.

    I don't remember Leon....
There's a thin line between being a hero and being a memory...
