Plot holes?

Several reviews I have read have claimed that the new Transformers movie is filled with "enough plot holes of such size as to drive Optimus Prime through."

Sadly, none of the reviews go into any details as to what the plot holes are.

So, please list any and all plot holes that you noticed about the movie. I tend not to catch such things myself.

I believe it's been mentioned that Devastator appears to be in two places at once, but I don't think that's right. I thought that Devastator had actually come apart after the skirmish with the Twins and that what Bee was later fighting were more Constructions. Not sure though. part of the fun of watching it over and over again is figuring it out, actually. But it's not like each character doesn't have a distinguishing physical trait, whether it's wings, doors, or a paint job.

People are just cranky because it's disorienting. Suck it up! Robot war is hell!

I didn't get the moment when all the army vehicles floated upwards and then slammed down into the pyramid. I saw the commercial for the video game and saw in it that The Fallen has some sort of powers. Powers never explained or referenced in the movie at all, shit just seemed to go up and then fall of their own accord.

Plot holes? Maybe. Better writing, surely. The attempts at humor with the twins, parents (esp the mom) and the parachute fart were just plain bad.

-The Blackout looking protoform that captured Sam's parents, suddenly it's Rampage holding them hostage.
-No explanation as to how Starscream got his tats.
-Does not explain how the relationship between Megs and the Fallen began (we shouldn't have to read the comics to learn that)
-Cut out Barricade, resulting in Alice being pointless.
-Never tells specifically who/what the Fallen is getting revenge on and why.

I could go on.

They are correct. There are many plot holes. Multiple bots of the same look which has kind of been explained but it's a lazy explanation. Where did Wheelie, the Twins, Jolt and everybody else go at the end. Did they stay on Earth or leave the atmosphere. Where was Jolt the whole time but somehow he shows up to put Jetfire's part on Prime? Bonecrusher was in the movie somehow? Where was Barricade this whole time? Wasn't he supposed to come back? Why were there multiple 'cons in the very beginning that looked exactly like the Fallen when he is supposed to only one of the original 13? and why were they all fighting when they were supposed to be building the harvester? where did the Twins and Acree and all of them come from? there was no introduction to when they came to earth or where they came from??? there are others too lol.

i guess my 2 biggest wonders are

1. Why did the decepticons even take Sams parents, they were taken from France then at the start of the final fight poof they were delivered

2. Was that Jolt at the end helping with reviving Optimus? and where did he come from? Was there any other Autobots in the fight at the end that we were never introduced to?

Yes that was Jolt. He was featured before back at NEST standing in the background when the dudes came with their guns.

If he was smart he would have hid somewhere. I mean, what could he do against something as big as Megatron or Devastator? His attacks would have been as effective as throwing marshmallows.

Oh and I forgot to mention, they never actually show the Decepticons in the ocean constructing Megatron's new body. It was just, Here he is..."Ve need body!"...*rips poor little Constructicon*....*zap with AllSpark shard*...BAM, MEGATRON! Uhh wait, how did Megatron suddenly have a new body when they zapped him? I mean, at least cut to another scene and have the building process off camera.

Oh, and notice how they completely ignored the idea of Megatron and Optimus being brothers.

-Wheelie said "Screw this." and Hid somewhere?
-The Blackout lookalike may have captured Sam's Parents But they could have been Transported by Rampage.

-Alice kind of reminded me of the TX only done better.
-I think the Fallens was getting Revenge on the other Primes and what better way than to destroy the planet they sacrificed themselves to protect?

This movie is not Citezen Kane. Anyway I think those are more goofs than plot holes a plot hole would be if the decepticons used the shard to revive Megatron. Why couldn't Sam use his to revive Optimus.

I think He lost it when he woke up Jetfire. And his peice was much smaller than the one used to revive Megatron so probably not as powerfull. Also he didn't know he could have revived Optimus until after Jetfire told him.

If the cube killed Megatron in the first movie, by putting it into his chest by Sam. How does it bring him back to life again by putting the shard into his chest in this movie?

I've seen the first one about 10+ times, and the 2nd one 3 times. I know that the cube holds raw power. So, it gives and takes life?

Also it would take to long to explain every detail of the story, movie was long enough as it was.

ok... here are a few things i want to know.
When the Constructicons went down to revive Megs there were 5 on the ships deck. Mixmaster(cement mixer) Longhaul(dump truck) Rampage(red dozer) Scrapper??? (Frontend loader) and excavater with a claw/cutter head not a bucket. These 5 and ravage went down and I thought at first it was the excavater that they killed and used for parts for Megs as the treds and claw would make sense for Megs legs and claw like cannon right? But at a closer look its the smaller Scrapper type bot they kill and use. So how do they get Megs tred legs from a wheeled frontend loader bot? And when they were coming back up the Sub crew metion that 6 sigs were coming back up. So 4 Constructicons, Ravage and megs right? What happend to the excavater bot then? He had to be one of the 6 coming back up. He is never seen again after.

Also why re-include Bonecrusher at the end and not have him do a thing and give no explanation as to why he's there. And please dont say it was a spoof or a joke. Things like that need not happen as these kinds of things just confuse people.

I used to love watching funny goofs G1 animators made, like "two Starscreams among Seekers" and "Galvatron searching Galvatron"..

another thing I want to know is why did Jetfire mention he had both a mother and father? Also He mentioned that there were 7 Primes... The Fallen and his six brothers who sacrificed their bodies to make the temple of which the Matrix was hidden from The Fallen. What happend to the first 13? So now it's the first 7?
