i dont get why people find the jokes offensive, its mild compared to others like hhm Borat?
Optimus Prime: Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.
well... i don't think is needed to continue reporting, but yesterday TF2 continued in the nº1, continued outgrossing the first TF and having a smaller second week drop, continued with higher numbers than an usual blockbuster and just needs 32 million in the saturday-sunday period to achieve a 100 millions second week, so i think is fairly easy to achieve (TF1 got 25 millions in the same period).
Saw it for the 3rd time in IMAX today and was surprised at how many people were there for the 9:20am showing. I'd say the theater was 70-80% full.
Transformers 2 melts & shoots down the competition.
So where are those that said that Ice Age and Johnny Depp were going to pulverize TF2?

So much for the mythical "bad word of mouth."
"...take it away but I want more and more, one day I'm gonna lose the war."

someone wake me when the critics are off their high horse
we decepticons now face our darkest hour:megatron from transformers prime
too bad the critics wont just come out and say it, "sorry, we were close minded and didnt really realize the epicness of what we were seeing..."
AMEN Nelson. I'll drink to that....
Its somewhat amusing for me to see critics calling this movie downright ridiculous and stupid when they dont step back and ponder these things:
We all know Transformers came from Japan, as a toyline first made by Takara then bought over by Hasbro, so the Japanese and Americans thought "Hmm how to sustain sales? increase popularity and make a presence in the market?"
Then they came out with the TV series,"kids watch it,get hooked, force parents to buy for them". This tactic of promoting a toy line by giving it a story line to hoodwink kids is not new, take a look at those Tamiya Cars, they had a series promoting it with a storyline same goes for Pokemon, digimon, they too had series to promote them.
The point is the storyline was never meant to be deep or intellectual its meant to be a promotional material since the very beginning, and so far it has worked for almost 20+ years, why did you think they created so many version of the same story? to create different type of toys to keep with the times of course, its been 20+ years, and look their toyline is still popular. but in the process they created disparities as each alteration had conflicting ideas, just like how the AllSpark appeared in BeastWars and not the other incarnations which made the Matrix of Leadership/Creation concept belittled.
But what made TF,stand out from the rest of the toyline-direct-tv series business model is that, people in Marvel,DW and IDW expanded its mythos and universe and included more substance then the likes of Digimon,Pokemon and other promotional toyline that has a tv series or comic supporting it. For the most part of its existence TF, became a cult icon on its own, people started following the storyline thanks to the efforts by the mentioned companies.

The critics who attack this movie are very humorous. They're all trying to out outrage each other.
I don't recall either outraged critic attacking Tim Story's horrid Fantastic Four movie when Jessica Alba too her clothes off on the Brooklyn Bridge (a family movie). I recall them saying how hot Alba was but I guess it couldn't be more obvious that the critics have it in for Michael Bay. People say it's hard to follow but I don't see what's so difficult.
Well, the critics don't understand that a Michael Bay movie is not watched, it is experienced.
Like an IRL auto race.
