i saw it for the fourth time today. Twice in IMAX and twice in regular theatres. I absolutely loved the film. A few things which I didnt like about the movie, but nothing too big that would bother me.

I hope that in the 3rd movie there SHOULD be more human/TF interaction like the first one.

I still dont THINK its better than the first one, but 98% just AS good.

3rd one should as well explain some minor detail more clearly. Like the first TF, becuase it's brand new and has to appeal, it has to go slow, and because everything has been introduced, TF2 went straight to the plot.

I hope MICHAEL BAY that 3rd movie should have over all tighter story line..if a movie is running for 2hrs and 40 minutes, it has plenty of time to do very well explaining. not to compair this movie with TDK (because totally different genres), but TDK was practically same run time and it was explained and nuanced soo well (barely any action tho); character development was was amzing, versus a movie like Spiderman 3 where it all went to shits because there were characters with problems that no one knew about unless they were following the comics.

Not to say that TF2 was all that bad, cuz it wasnt. It would take forever if Bay explained where all charecters came from, but atleast a little more detail for guys like Jolt, Arcee/Chromia, and the twins.

i was born in 1990, and when I was arround 4-6 i did get my first few TF toys, and when i was between 7-9, i had Beast Machine toys, but i never followed any of the chartoons soo closely.

I'm 100% fan of Bay's adaptation of TF's now and forever will be; he certainly brings the nostalgia back which i love.

I hope the 3rd one becomes more grittier, deep and just as always - lots of humor with action!

Despite the fact that T2 is probably one of my all time favorite movies, and James Cameron one of my all time fav director, T:S was a disappointment in the Terminator franchise (not as bad as T3 which was just shit)

There really isn't actually a rivalry going on. Bay could probably care less that T:S is a rip off of Transformers. Actually, Bay said he was looking forward to the movie. Then again, he also said he would love to see his robots take on Terminators.

After a second viewing, I like it even more.

4.2 out of 5.0.

The computer animation with the live action cinematography, pyrotechnics, and stunts impressed me.

However, what really impressed me the most was Megan's improvement in her acting. It seemed less forced and more confident.

err transformers was a Japanese idea afterall? ironic isnt it?

well, i dont know again they nor called robots in disguise for nothing, we all got hooked because of their ability to change into everyday vehicles,even in the series,marvel adaptations and the subsequent works or the anumated movies,human characters were pivotal to the plot, especially sparkplug,buster and spike. If you wanna know more about how TF interaction and societal structure read these TF: War Within, TF: Alliance, TF: Defiance, TF: The Veiled Threat. Theres alot of info stated there which help you delve into their interactions and stuff,theres just not enough CGI time to incorporate all this,cause obviously its expensive to make, i think in ROTF starscream interaction with Megs was adequate pays tribute to all the past literature.

So for you Star Wars 1-3 was all CGI, uh? No actors? Geez.. you are the one really clueless.

The story on Transformers2 is too much about robot already, it lacks the humans/aliens interaction we got in the first movie. While the novel features a lot of it. Unfortunately the movie script doesn't and that is what the movie lacks, if it had those scenes described in the novel it would have been perfect with no flaws. I still hope that Mr.Bay will manage to release a Director's Cut or Extended Version for the Blu-Ray/DVD releases with all the finalized deleted scenes re-integrated in the movie for a longer runtime, and not just IMAX. I bet they deleted a lot of scenes that appear in the novel or similar to those.

Transformers2 needed some scenes with politicians discussing with militaries about the Decepticon menace, it needed a scene at the cemetery with militaries and civilians (sons and wives) for the many dead ones when the ship and submarine were hit by Decepticons, it needed a scene with Autobots and militaries around the dead Optimus Prime body.. and before that some sad scenes of Sam crying over Optimus dead body as well.

i personally not being a fan of the cartoons, would love to see a lot more human interaction in third one. sam is a key element in the story, not having him as an 'anchor' would totally have his role in the story useless. the main reason reason Bay did TF films, was so that he can take a real world kid, and put him in a outrageous situation. He has to be the anchor, and story HAS to revolve arround him one way or another. other than that, the TF's should have their own spin-off movie by some other director who would f*ck it up..

no one can do what Bay did with the TF franchise.

Actually, I'm curious about that as well. Question: was the fallen providing engery or something to the hatchlings? Because I couldn't figure out what he was doing there surrounded by all those cables or whatever they were. (unless it was his throne or something) I doubt he was just hanging out.

Well, I noticed that when Optimus died, The Fallen just got up and removed the cables from his body. That must have something to do with it.
We know transformers are not immortal. Even robots must have a life expectency, maybe like several thousand years. The cables may have been something like life support. But when Optimus died, his death somehow rejuvinated the Fallen. Not sure how.

Yeah, I was thinking life support as well, maintaining his systems between periods of action, but I also got the idea that maybe the cables also directly link the Fallen to the ship/base's computer, possibly giving him the ability to monitor and even control the ship/base's systems, and maybe even giving him a rudimentary link to other Decepticons through the communications system so that he can track them.
