I really liked the Forest scene and the end fight alot, but the best part for me is when Sam inserts the Matrix of Leadership into Optimus' chest... when Optimus opened his eyes and did the grunts when he was getting up and then said "Boy, you returned for me" - I felt deep chills go down my spine when I heard that.

I think it isn't said enough of how powerful and gripping Peter Cullen's voice of Optimus Prime, I think it really is a shame that his name isn't listed with "Shia Lebeouf and Megan Fox"

Call me crazy, but I think Peter Cullen deserves a academy/Golden Globe/Oscar award for his performance in this movie.

Did anyone else kind of play "spot the symbols" while watching it? I love trying to figure out where each one has their faction symbol. It's way easier to find in vehicle mode, but a few a bit obvious. So far I'm stumped as to where the twins have theirs, where's Sideswipes, and if the a few Decepticons have them at all.

but he did deserve to have his name in the main cast credit right when movie ended. Shia's was first, then it should have been Peter Cullen, then Megan, then all the other important people, then TRANSFORMERS, then 'A MICHAEL BAY FILM', tthennn the rolling credits with all the other people.

point being, Peter Cullen, and the guy who did Sideswipe's 2 liner part ("Dammn I'm good") should have gotten more credit

I saw it 2 times in the theatres and have been fairly dissappointed with the movie....if its called Revenge of the Fallen then the Fallen should have had his revenge....also The Fallen himself didn't look 2 much threataning as a villain...Megatron in T1 was far more menacing...speaking of Megatron i always cringed in embarrasment when referred fallen as his Master....The Megatron we know doesn't work UNDER anyone....He is a class villain and there is no one superior to him in the Decepticon Faction....also the jokes this time was not that funny....especially Ramon Rodriguez and Julie White are pathetic actors.....i would be glad if they die in TF3....The human characters were there just for the sake of it....Now coming to the positives...The CGI and Action were top notch and certainly better than the first one....Watching Megatron and Starscream quarrel was fun....these 2 are simply amazing in the movie....and the best thing about ROTF is Optimus Prime....he just shows everyone that why He is the Leader of The Autobots....the forest fight was the best action sequence i've seen in many years....Jetfire was great and funny......i laughed my ass off when landed in the desert and when he was trying to shoot the door in the museum....I wished he would comeback for TF3....the end fight between Optimus Prime The Fallen and Megatron was great especially the moment Megatron gets half of his face blown up and screams out Starscream ! Help Me ! .....just loved that moment....one more thing i liked about this movie is the grunting voiced made by Megatron and Optimus Prime when they fight in the forest and in the end fight....great piece of sound effect

Overall i did enjoy myself but i was not satisfied with this movie like i was with TF1....i guess getting myself spoiled on the whole plot was the main reason for it...but for OP Megs and Starscream and the forest fight i will give it 4/5....Hope that TF3 raises the bar even more next time

Just got back from watching it for the 2nd time.... my first time was marred by my cinema playing it at like 105% speed due to the projector running fast and pitching up the sound... anyway... this was much better..... and I have to say I really enjoyed it a lot more the 2nd time around.

I have read some of the plot holes and faults/questions with the movie, and I don't think they're too accurate. 5 bots go down into the abyss to revive megatron, 6 come back up... what happened to the bot they pulled apart to revive megs? Nothing! He got smaller, but didn't die.

Someone asked how they wrote that they didn't actually write sams injured hand into the story, but if you watch Sam land in the desert after being spaceridged you will note he grabs his hand in pain as he smashes it on the rocks.

The whole not reviving prime with his little splinter of the cube.... yet revived jetfire..... well this makes sense... jetfire was alive, but dormant. Prime was DEAD. Prime needed a lot more juice than what that splinter could provide.... while Jetfire just needed a kick start.

Devs, and the 'constructicons being in two places at one time' thing.. I don't see a problem with this at all. There's more than one set. They're just alt modes... and not the true protoform identities of the bots. They just scanned the same vehicles... or were given the same blueprints. It doesn't really bother me.

I LOVED the nods to the cartoon movie, both in the first movie and this one. Prime turning greyscale when he died (altho subtle) was nice. Prime peeling the Fallen's face (give me your face) and revealing the skull below was a nod to Hot Rod peeling the face on the Sharkticons in the cartoon movie. Soundwave's voice, while not vocoded so much, was a great nod to the original voice. In fact starscream's voice was also really well done, and I thought the relationship between megs and starscream was much better played out this time - still shortlived but much better than the first movie.

I loved it. Great entertainment. Can't wait to finish building my new house and home theatre, as this and the first movie will be really good 'system showcases' for my setup!!

Personally, while I really really am enjoying Bay's take on these, lots of fun, action, some comedy... I would also like to see someone have another go at the films... start again, different story.... and make them really dark and serious. I get that the way they are made now, is to cater to a wide, albeit skewed to a young demographic.... because ultimately..... transformers have always been oriented towards kids/boys... sadly, the kids/boys who grew up with transformers are now 22 - 34 year olds, who are eager to watch a dark, serious movie. This isn't to say Bay's ones are bad, I'm just saying I'd like to see it done. Bay has set the benchmark and proven that the technology and skill is there to put amazing looking bots and action on screen. I'm blown away by the detail in Devs, and am in awe of the guys who produce that CGI.

Here's something I think some people forget, when they cry "racism" about The Twins:

What were Jazz's first lines in the Transformer movie of 2007? "What's crackin' little bitches. This looks like a cool place to kick it." Where were the people moaning about "racism" then? Yet here are these 2 young, wannabe-gangsta Autobots who speak MUCH THE SAME WAY as Jazz spoke in the first movie, and suddenly the creators are making "racist" characters. So two-faced to me.

Here's another example: Anyone ever watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles years ago? I did, and loved them as a kid. Yet, those turtles ran around for YEARS yelling "Kowabunga Dude! Totally Awwwwwesome! Hang 10! Totally Raaaaad, man!" Where were some of these same people THEN, to step forward & accuse them of being racist toward white surfer guys? Exactly, they were nowhere.

Know why no one made that argument for racism about the Turtles? Cuz it'd be stupid to yell "racism" about some ficticious talking turtles, who were just mimicking their surroundings -- something the Transformers OPENLY admit to doing, themselves. "Kowabunga Dude" is no more a "white" thing than "Yo, yo, yo whattup Dog" is a black thing. So to those moaning about "Racist Twins" please find a different tree to bark up, please? Thanks. Just my general 2 cents about a complaint I've seen in many places on this.

I think I saw Sideswipe yesterday. I was driving to work with dad in the passenger seat (long story there) and I spotted it driving next to me. I'm not kidding, it looked exactly like Sideswipe. I even checked to see if it was the right kind of Corvette. I was laughing so hard that my dad thought I was going insane. I don't get to see stuff like that everyday in my boring town.

I think one of the scenes I really enjoyed was Bumblebee and Sam talking after Prime's death, especially when the Forrest Gump quote comes out of Bumblebee. Very powerful. And this scene of course

I thought the relationship with Sam and Bumblebee was displayed real well in both films. More convincing than with Megan Fox's character lol.

I didn't like the use of characters. Why put all those robots in the film and the only ones that have any major roles are bumble bee, optimus, megatron and star scream? Besides the fact that sideswipe was my favorite of all time along with his brother sunstreaker who wasn't in the film, didn't have any major parts other than what happened in the opening scene. All this movie was to me was a car show. I have a better time watching the original cartoon series on DVD. At least with the cartoon I can actually see all the different characters do and say something other than just sit there showing off their car parts.


I know optimus prime is the strongest, but I don't like the fact that he's in the forest fighting 3 decepticons by himself. He dies, only to be brought back to life at the end and kill this guy called the fallen in less than a minute. When optimism 1st died, I thought okay good, now all the other Autobots will be included in the film more. I figured iron hide would take over for a while as the leader. But what happens instead, they send them packing with orders to leave the planet. And what the he'll was up with soundwave? He needs to be doing something other than just hang out in space for the whole film.


This is what should be done in my opinion to make the film better. Make it longer, like 4-5 hrs long, thy way you can give each autobot and decepticon in the film more screen time. Find some way to imrovw the fighting scenes between the robots. I can't tell what the he'll is happening when they ate fighting. This movie is starting to look like those crappy xmen movies. Just a bunch of characters that don't really do anything. If you're gonna put all these autobots And decepticons in the movie, include all of them in the film more.

How old are you, 5 or 3, perhaps ?
The issues with Transformers2 movie is the lack of refinements that the first movie had and the official novel version of this second movie features as well. And those are mainly about humans/aliens interactions, in the movie practically all the scenes were cut or shortened so much to not be felt by viewer as it should have been. That is the reason why I have immediately started asking Michael Bay to release a Director's Cut/Extended cut re-integrating all available finalized (or that could be finalized quickly) deleted scenes for the Blu-Ray IMAX release.
All those little scenes, refinements and interaction are described in the novel and I can't believe that Michael Bay didn't film any of those. Also the Showest Footage Sneak Peak featured the full longer cut of Bumblebee and Sam in the garage talking but the scene got shortened for the theatrical cut and there was really no reason, it was perfect back then and I think no viewers would understand why it got shortened when that dialogue was so key to the storyline and would have helped the movie a lot.

And you wanted more alien robots on screen? Transformers2 main issue is that they are too much on the screen alone with barely any or no real interaction with humans, that is the only real movie issue. The first movie had much more humans/aliens interaction than the second movie unfortunately. Adding all the available deleted scenes back in the movie could give back the interaction value if those scenes were filmed (like Mikaela helping Bumblebee to fix his damaged arm with self-repairing mode that wasn't engaged--a scene described in the novel that I wonder if it ever got filmed...).

Anyway no, Transformers2 doesn't suck. But its theatrical cut feels rushed and that is sad because it could have been perfect if only what is missing and is described in the novel was included even with a bit of variations.

Okay, I can sort of understand where you are coming from, but I have to respectfully disagree.

First of all, it’s not necessary to have any lengthy screen time with every robot. An example of this is The lord of the Rings trilogy. There were about sixty or more hobbits but you only needed to know five. Also, if you have a hundred robots and you have to introduce and tell a back-story for every robot it just becomes ridicules. It many work for a TV series but not for a two hour movie.

Second, how many times have we seen a hero take on more or one opponent in action films? Also Fans went Apeshit when Optimus was killed in the 1986 film so did you really think he would have stayed dead?(At least this time it wasn’t Hot Rods Fault). And as great as Ironhide is, he’s a fighter not a leader.

Third, Your right about Soundwave. He really needed to do more.

Fourth, who's bladder is going to hold up to 5 hour movie? I don't get up to use the washroom in the middle of a movie because I might miss something. So a movie that long is out of the question unless there's intermision.

And The movie Does not suck.
