Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
What a damn fun game. I really can't stress enough how just absolutely fun this game was. If you own a PS3 go out and buy this game now!
Take Romancing the Stone, Indiana Jones, and the old adventure serials and roll them all up together, and you have an idea of Uncharted.
The script is EXTREMELY well written. Very very cliche, but the dialog is amazing for a video game.
Although the story is fairly cliche, the amazing voice acting, and motion capture work, along with the animation for this game is some of the best to date. It COMPLETELY draws you into the story and makes you care, regardless of how cliche it is.
The game is basically Gears of War meets Tomb Raider. Not a bad mix at all.
This is mainly a shooter, and like gears, it has a great cover system. Which I think is better then Gears of War.
The Tomb Raider aspect comes from puzzle solving and platforming. The puzzles in the game are very easy to solve, and the platforming is nothing genre defining, but it's all very balanced. If you liked the demo, then you like the game. If you didn't like the demo, then you probably wont like the game. The demo is a pretty fair representation of the game.
Then there's the graphics....holy hell lets talk about the graphics. Wow....just...wow. Probably the best if not 2nd best looking game for any console to date. The lighting and textures in the game is mind blowing. It's a game where you'll find yourself just looking around the environments.
This is definitely a AAA game worth getting. Definitely worth a buy, and definitely worth a rental if your not sure.
This is definitely a game I will go back and play again.
