TF2 not turning out the way i'm hoping...

TDK wasn't overly complicated, it was a basic story, easy to follow but it did have superb character development.
I was comparing making a complicated story/plot to Watchmen, if you delve deep truly into what it is based upon and make a movie for the fans, rather than the general audience than yes people will not enjoy it as much. I don't know much about the Transformers comics, individuals but I thought TF2 was sufficient.

TDK didn't need to be complicated...the characters are already multi-level...thats what Nolan and Goyer are superb at....i am starting to wonder where and how Autobots and Decepticons became so complicated at a philosophical level....I read most of the comics... they weren't that deep....Expecting fleshed out robots more than they already are is asking a lot... Prime is noble...Starscream and Megs don't like each other...Ironhide is a bad ass... you don't need Joyce level writing to flesh that out....

As for Watchmen....that movie would have been bigger if the characters were more well known....and I think that would be the only way....they did as good as they could have with that adaptation....making it pg-13 would have been a mistake....
