    Default Song suggestions

Here are some songs I suggest you guy hear:

1.- Hungry Like The Wolf (Night Version) by Duran Duran
A song inspired by Little Red Ridding Hood and the primal human sexual urge. The Night version which has an intro of almost 90 seconds is perfectly paced and climactic. Make sure you listen to the Night Version with headphones and you will hear new details every time you listen to it again and again.

2.- Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode
A song that was meant to be sung with an old wind pedal organ transformed into an electronica masterpiece. Very moody.

3.- Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
A very nostalgic and moody song about the longing of innocence lost and settling the cynicism that comes with age.

4.- Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day
Growing up and having to realize the cruelty of life.

5.- White Lines by Grandmaster and the Furious Five
One of raps' early hits. The downside of cocaine.

    6.- Stronger by Kanye West
What makes this song so awesome is the Daft Punk vox box.

7.- He's a Pirate (Tiesto Orchestral Mix) by DJ Tiesto
A trance tune built on The Pirates of the Caribbean theme by Claus Badelt. Extremely euphoric towards the end.

8.- Rhapsody On a Theme By Paganini, Op. 43: Variation 18 (composed by Rachmaninov) performed by Lang Lang.
You should really listen to this masterpiece. If you don't you'll be missing something so beautiful in this life.

9.- Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division
A song about the other side of the coin of love.

    10.- Wonderwall by Oasis
About how you take and accept the good and the bad of someone you love.

    11.- In Bloom by Nirvana
Ignorance is bliss told so fabulously.

12.- An Ending (Ascent) by Brian Eno
This song tells you how beautiful life can be and how much more can be achieved without any lyrics.

13.- Eight Days a Week by The Beatles
    Simple feelings expressed so elegantly.

14.- Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
Good luck figuring what it's about.

15.- Never Let Me Down Again by Depeche Mode
If anyone can tell me who the lead singer's "best friend" in the song is I'll send you a free Digital Domain shirt (large only).

16.- Time Difference by Hiromi Uehara
Talk about imagination and the technical domination of the piano.

    17.- Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven
This has been with me in my darkest hours. It helps you see the light at the end of the tunnel but not before scaring your soul permanently.

    18.- Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós
Just wow!!! Rock meats epic arrangements courtesy of Iceland.

19.- Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison
    The reality of life.

20.- Just Dance by Lady Gaga
Some people can still come up with catchy tunes.

Many of the newer songs I do not know, but the older ones( even Beethoven) I love and still listen to. An incredible list Nelson.

    Thumbs up Re: Song suggestions

Can never go wrong with Depeche Mode. Saw them in concert in Mexico when I was younger.

I'd say a good 85% of this list already resides in my music player.

    No Power Station, Erasure? (j/k)

Initially I paid no mind to the meaning of the song (was too young), but as I got older I thought Dave was talking about drugs. But it seems too obvious.

Most of the music in my player are my Backstreet Boys albums. Can't go wrong with them on a bad day. Just turn it on and belt it out like no ones looking.

I am hopelessly stuck in the 80s and 90s. I also like 70s rock. Anything after 1999 is pretty much a hard sell to get me on board.

Try this, I think they are not known in the USA

Sonata Arctica - The End of This Chapter

    Sonata Arctica - Broken

    Sonata Arctica - My Land

Sonata Arcica - It Won't Fade

    And well... enough for now.

    Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive

This is the theme song to the Mirror's Edge videogame by Swedish game company Dice... man, Sweden rocks.
