I loved it, and it's currently my favourite film. 10/10 from me.

I'm lovin the positive reviews from you guys, it totally sucked for me today, watching something as awesome as this but then having to go straight home and do homework for the rest of the night, its got me feeling weird, its like the good and the bad are clashing in my head and i can't think straight hahah, will be seeing it again on the weekend with the rest of my buddies with a clearer head.

Specifically, I could have swore Devastator was on the pyramid while Longhaul, Rampage and Mixmaster were fighting the Autobots.

This was my first concern after I left the theater. Can anyone CORRECTLY explain this?

I just saw mixmaster and longhaul's vehicle closeup before merging as part of devastator, two scenes later (while devastator is doing its own thing) you see mixmaster alone doing something else. Then you see long haul with ravage and two protoform devepticons searching for sam. It didn't sit well with me at all and made that sequence somewhat a mess.

Another thing that baffled me was who was the decepticon that was sacrified for Megatron's new spare parts?

I forgot to ask about that one, too. I really hope that we have just missed a few things to make that clear in lieu of just having so many robots doing so many things that the makers of the film thought we would not notice. I am remaining faithful that I am just a dumbass, for now...

Dev has nards!!! Anyways, saw the movie, it rocked, went with a bunch of friends, they all had mixed reviews. They are not like me so I was ready for the nay saying.

First thing I have to say is....it needs another viewing. WAY too much shit to absorb in one viewing. Lots of dialogue mixed with action. If you were not privy to much of the lore or background you get lost easy. I was so, game on.

On that note. I'll mention all their gripes because it will probably be the norm. Too much comedy, Twins were terrible, Optimus too died early, who the f**k is Jetfire, why didn't the shard cause any probs before that scene with the sweat shirt, why did Megatron go straight back to The Fallen to answer like a bitch, I thought the bots in the ocean helped form Devastator and the pot brownie scene was lame....to name a few.

Personally, I loved it! I can break all the gripes above down to make sense, but you should already know these things. All the weaknesses I have can be validated with another viewing. No worries...at all.

Did notice, Simmons was taking number 42 at the deli, mad props!!! Primes is an absolute f**king badass! "I will take you all on myself" EPIC.

We'll pick this apart tomorrow and I know the reviews wil be mixed. Thanks Michael, you did it again. The fans appreciate this

I think we'll find later that they were all different characters. The ones scanned on the ship are different then the ones in Egypt. Hasbro had to make it work, but it makes perfect sense now while the individual robots do not combine. It's kinda like the Brawl/Devastator thing. Many questions to be answered. I do know the vehicles o the ship were different

I just got back from seeing it. (incoming spoilers)

I got there an HOUR early so I wouldn't get some crappy front row seat. I was one of the last people in the theater (imax) to be seated... in a front row seat, lol my neck hurts.

They gave away a few posters right before the showing... i didn't win.

This movie was definitely a solid 9 out of 10 in my opinion.


The Good: (Some, not all)
The Autobots weren't portrayed so weak. However it was the Decepticons numbers that kept them alive.
I liked the back story hearing the Decepticons plot, that was what the first one needed!
Two Epic Optimus Fights
A whole lot of fun... i didnt buy any popcorn

The Bad:
Some people left the theater when Prime died... Took me a while to think about it but I got over it :P
Devastator went down way too easily
The Fallen, Megs, and Primes battle seemed rushed. Half of it was blocked by buildings

I will definitely be seeing this again. Hopefully I will get a better seat. There was a lot of stuff I missed, and like the first one, it was really hard for me to even recognize who was doing what some of the time. There were a few things that I want to pay closer attention to, like the pretender, rampage being destroyed, and pretty much the entire final fight.

Great Movie. I am very happy with the outcome.

That is just poor story telling among other things. The Brawl/Devastator thing is easy to explain. It was a mistake. The same character with a correct and incorrect label.

Saying the same vehicles were different characters is just a a scapegoat to prevent saying "Yeah, can't believe we missed that one and that one and that one..

I'm pretty sure they didn't MISS it, with all the editing and all. There is probably an explanation....don't know what it is, but we'll see.

I'd agree with a few of the things he said. I wont spoil anything but the movie was definitely at the same level as the first, if not, a step higher.

Anyone else catch the name of the tanker that was hauling some of the constructicons?

Needless to say will be going back for seconds. IMAX scenes were the tits. Not without its flaws, but definitely not deserving of some of the more extreme hate, IMO. Will talk more about it manana.

Sidenote: They had a pair of production version Camaros parked right outside the theater entrance. Nice little touch.

I liked the movie and the bud that went with me did as well.

Maybe others can help me with these things..

- I did not see Barracade? I was hoping it was explained?
- Who was torn apart for parts for Megatron and why didn't they show him getting repaired?
- Why did most of the bots not have a name?
- Where did all the ones killed in the first movie get revived? (No Jazz though)
- Soundwave was cool, I loved that Ravage came from him and I think the thin bot was a nod to Laserbeak but would of liked to see him fight.
- Who was the bot on top of the bridge knocking over the flag? If it was mix master is he part of Dev? I was thinking that maybe Dev is like the robot that was made from the balls. He is just one robot in sections and not separate robots.


I have a few other ? but its late. I will see this movie again tomorrow with son and wife :P

I have a lot of goods and positives about the film. But since this is a forum for discussion, let's discuss the bad side that I personally think...

1.) No Autobot casualties??? I mean of course except for Jetfire (which technically didn't count as an Autobot since he's got the Decepticon insignia).

Jazz was a major character and yet they decided to have him finished off easily. This time around, minor characters such as Mudflap for example, couldn't even die at all. I mean, c'mon, Devastator couldn't kill Mudflap???

2.) Terminator girl?
I'm sure the idea was cool, but then it didn't translate so well on the screen.
If Transformers could scan humans and disguise themselves as humans, then they would have already sent an army of Decepticons disguised as humans. If that was the case, then earth's already finished. End of story.

Loved Transformers, tight script, great casting, perfect pacing, cgi etc. New film unfortunately dosn't do it for me. Just seems like cheap laughs and constant bang boom!! Stick with the original format for 3 Michael!!!

Not without it's flaws, of course. Constructicons can't be two places at once, Devastator did go down pretty easy, and Jetfire was a bit...odd. I would also liked to have seen more of Jolt, too. I was looking forward to his electric whips. But overall, I totally loved this movie! Don't let any negative reviews or comments change your perspective. It's awesome!

there were more than 7 constructicons. There were a whole heap, they werent all the same. i guess some entered the battle after devs was destroyed aswell.

there was no barricade! no seekers! rampage was red not yellow HASBRO! bone crusher was back in? grindor or blackout still dont know! where did wheelie go? so many questions!?!!

It was a bit of a painful movie to watch tonight

LOVED the first film, but this one... I have to ask in some of it WTF were you thinking?

Skids and Mudflap should have been removed from the film entirely, or at least made more intelligent than how they showed on-screen. terrible choice of dialogue exchange and not appropriate for Transformers.

Forest fight, Devastator and the Jetfire/Optimus scene was spectacular!

It was some REALLY great moments of a film, but overshadowed by a lot of really ridiculous humor that didn't belong for this film. And why Devastator had to have 2 giant balls between his legs was beyond me. Seriously... I love potty humor and all the fart and pee jokes, but it doesn't work for a Transformers movie.

Disappointed overall, but appreciate the incorporation of the Matrix into the film's storyline!

Painful to watch. Was not better than the first film by a huge margin. Still though there were parts of ROTF I loved. I just wish i loved more of it as a whole...

He was killed by the Autobots when they formed NEST. They were hunting Decepticons and Optimus said they'd had a conflict on every continent so seeing as Barricade was in North America they probably found him and killed him.

finally after nearly a week i het to post my minor gripes

*i hated jetfire and soundwave(inspector gadget baddie!) voices.
*sidswipe and jolt were just backround characters and only there to sell toys.
*devestator did'nt do much except suck some sand and climb a pyramid, he went down way to easy.
*way to much military envolvment, would have liked to see some autobots vs decipticons in egypt battle rather than tanks and small arms fire taking them down.
*some plot holes

things i enjoyed though
*optimus and bumblebee were hard as nails! "ill take you all on!" gave me goosebumps!!
*the twins were great. people keep comparing them to jar jar? i don't think so.
*fight scenes were awesome
*cgi was oscar cert!
*simmons was great
*optimus death sucked the air out of cinema!( i was worried for a bit)
*loved the look and voice of the fallen
*one of the biggest real explosions ive seen on film!
