Wouldn't it be more so the writers' fault for not writing scenes with Soundwave on earth; Than it would Bay he adapted their screenplay some people act like he had full control over every aspect of the movie.
Bay has full control over the movies. He stated he comes up with the story and plot line along with the writers and the writers put the main and final touches on it. There must be a specific reason they don't include him as a character and I can only assume its because they can't figure out how to work him into the plot (just go from the cartoon, idk) Just can't understand it.
Really where has he stated this the first Transformers had a story written by John Roger which was then revised into a screenplay by Roberto Orci andAlex Kurtzman. Bay just like most directors adapted the screenplay. If you were talking about the scriptment that wasn't the story that was him listing what he needed to make this movie, some gags and ideas plus it was an expantion on the writer's treatment anyway. Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Ehren Kruger came up with the story for TF2.Bay has full control over the movies. I'll find you the interview. It's on transformerslive.blogspot.com somewhere in an interview. He said he likes to sit down with the writers and come up with their own story based on an overall plot line that has already been developed. They all decided who is and isn't in the movie.
