We need to see him in his full CGI, animated glory before we can really judge him.

How can Bay constantly avoid using Soundwave in the movie? It's an absolute slap in the face to the fans of Transformers. Soundwave has been a major part of Transformers since the very first episode and Bay doesn't even have him in the movie in robot form. What a joke! Bay you are a disgrace! Epic Fail!
There's a thin line between being a hero and being a memory...
ooh.
So you're a dissappointed fan that has ALREADY seen it.
Did not know that.
I retract my statement.
There's a thin line between being a hero and being a memory...
Chops, he said Soundwave would be in the movie. Done. He said he would pursue Frank F*cking Welker to voice him. Pursuit accomplished. C'mon, like that's not fanwanky enough for you? A general audience with no knowledge of G1 wouldn't notice that the slightest.
Oh btw, how was the rest of the movie?
And btw, we shouldn't even be talking about this because it's a major spoiler that I wish I didn't hear right now.

It's a major issue with the fans. just check all the websites like tfw2005, transformerfans.com or transformerslive.blogspot.com to get an idea of how huge Soundwave is. But I didn't tell you anything about him being in the movie. You won't be disappointed. I was disappointed because of certain things I can't talk about just yet. Once the movie comes out we will be able to talk about it all.
As for the movie itself, it was awesome! Great robot battles and epic scenes of Optimus and the rest of the autobots kicking deceptipunk ass! You'll love it if you loved the first one.
One point I would like to make. The reason why Soundwave was not in the first movie was because the writers and Bay specifically did not want to mess him up because they knew even then how important Soundwave was. Michael being the great director he is would know that keeping Soundwave as a satellite would completly wreck it. Why postpone Soundwaves appearence only to wreck him in the sequel?
Yes, I have seen the other sites, and will not see anymore! lol! And yes, Soundwave is very important and he is one of my favorites, but I am not going to try to get all upset over that. I understand your point perfectly, but before you call Michael Bay a discrace think of some of the reasons why Soundwave's robot mode wasn't shown. Budget? Couldn't find a way to get in in the script? Who knows, but I wouldn't call it a slap in the face towards the fans. Look at it this way, maybe they're building up the anticipation. Perhaps in the third film we will get to see him in all of his full robotic glory and the sheer badassitude which would be flooding off the charts.
So yeah, I loved the first movie. There's probably no doubt in mind that I will love this one. But I am going to see it for the sheer popcorn adventure it's made to be.
