Any memories of the original animated Transformers movie?

I do, i saw this movie in 1986 when i was 5 cause i am a TF fanatic along with my 14 year old brother Neil back then who was also a TF fan. I saw it when i was living in St. Louis back in 1986 as i thought it was awesome with it's grand themes and that emotional death of Prime.

I love it because of nostalgia. I was around 6 when it came out. I bought the 20th anniversary dvd. Looking back, some of it was pretty cheesy, but what cartoon wasn't back then?

That's what makes it soooo hard to defend to the younger fans out there... You know that on some points they may be right, but your pride always comes out to defend it.

I remember it well, it was the only thing I could talk about for weeks after. That was when I was just a kid, now I find myself still talking about them as a adult. With the new movies especailly, there are people talking about it that you wouldn't think that would be into it.

It came out when I was 6. My dad took me and a bunch of my friends to the drive in. We all cried when Prime died.

they killed off all the old characters except for like one or two and brought an entire new set of characters... talk about trying to hit two birds with one stone (movie profits, new cast new toys).

Its been a while since i've seen it, but I can remember the music was great, and the optimus vs. megatron fight was awesome.
