Default New Film Excitement and Nelson

Ive considered posting this for awhile and thought out the ramifications and I have come to the realization that the reason we have a constitution is to uphold certain God-given rights... FREE SPEACH. Blast me all you want but in my opinion having anyone moderate these forums w/ an iron fist while making comments that are crude and crass as to the intelligence of the members only to bolster their confidence/superiorty is a bit tedious and unnecessary. You are going to have multiple posts and people stepping outside the boundaries of what the moderators find "acceptable" , to find out more about a film they are completely CRAZY to see and spend their hard earned money on, but that does not give them right to be condescending and outright rude. Ive held my tongue for quite some time and I think that its a shame that we have to deal w/ this on a regular basis on a website made for FANS of a man who makes films to bring people joy and amazement. Calling people "idiots" and being completely confrontational goes way to far! If someone wants to ask a question that seems redundant or completely off the wall...LET THEM! You have no right to constantly act as if these are unreasonable requests. So if anyone out there is fed up w/ catering to this superiority mentality please post because Im sure Ill be banned for this, but that will only further my point. If you notice I belittled no one and spoke my mind. And Mr. Bay you rock and you might want to take a good look at how your FANS are being treated on your website. Its a shame that one bad apple ruins the bunch!

I'm pretty sure Nelson has the same rights. He will respond as he wishes.

Last time I checked, Free-Will was a God-Given Right aswell.

Your right but have you ever heard the old saying "If you dont have anything nice to say...dont say anything" . There is a fine line between being instructive and being destructive. Do you really thin Michael Bay wants his fans being brow-beat? I would not

Being courteous and freedom of speech are two different things.

Yes I realize this but that does not give someone the right to make that person feel stupid or less like an intellectual just b/c you can say it.

Nelson is doing a great job. People who are called idiots always deserve it. Moderating is needed. I've fallen victim of accidentally reading spoolers that really I didn't want to know. People who post things without doing a seconds research get flamed, and sure, they deserve it.

Im sorry I didnt realize that we should all be IT specialists before logging on and having some simple fun. Remember this is a movie FAN site not people coming together to try and cure the worlds problems. If it was I could get on board for some stricter guidelines as to what was posted, but you know what....its not. So relax

Personally, I haven't seen Nelson do anything questionable yet, he seems pretty reasonable, at times a bit exasperated, but then again, I havent been on for too long.

    Any examples?

I am pretty new to the forum. But, what you need to understand is simple.

A lot of people are idiots. They need to know that so they can try gaining some intelligence. I have a roommate that is probably about as intelligent as Mudflap and Skids. I'm not joking. She didn't know how to multiply 1/4 three times. She didn't know how to spell "Casino".

And this isn't America. This is the internet. When you registered you agreed to lose all freedoms on this forum that Michael Bay and the moderators felt you did not need.

And to be honest, looking at this forum compared to others. To me, I think the forum could use a little stronger of a hammer with all the pointless threads and damn near duplicate threads that are on here.

    You are wrong.

Nelson is the admin/webmaster of michaelbay.com and we all play by his rules. Don't like 'em? Then leave. A messageboard is not a democracy, it's a dictactorship. If you can't follow rules on an internet messageboard, maybe you shouldn't be on the internet.

    Idiots.

Yes, I do call them idiots.

I call certain people idiots. People that don't read the rules. People that want to spoil the movie for others (believe it or not, not all of us want to know every single script, visual, and movie detail before the movie comes out).

I also mock people Only after I have warned them several times) that are sooo lazy that they can not be bothered to look if the subject thread is something that has been posted before.

I also mock people that come here and troll (there are tons of Transformers web sites where you can troll and feel right at home).

Mind you, I believe in the freedom of speech even if these boards are private and not government property. But there has to be some rules. Think of it this way: when you're an invited guest to someone's house, you don't go and take dump in the middle of their living room. Sure, you can dislike Bay's films and post politely why you hate them, but you don't have the right to take it personal and post hateful and trolling post. There are other sites for that; this is not one of them.

If you want to spoil yourself about the movie, fine. But just don't expect others to do the same.

For someone who says you didn't belittle anyone you sure went out of your way to call me a "bad apple."

BTW, you're wrong. I'm not banning you.
