No kidding - I just opened mine. It literally took me half an hour to get him into truck mode; probably would've been longer if I hadn't already seen those YouTube videos...

What more do you know about the walkie talkies??

Me and the kid would love to get those for camping, if the range is good....

I'm starting to get a hang of transforming mine. He's pretty easy to get into robot mode. Getting him into vehicle mode is a challenge because you have to snap everything perfectly in place, there's practically a place for every little part to lock in. But once you do snap everything into place, his vehicle mode is VERY solid. The thing with me is that I can't ever decide what mode want to keep him in for awhile because he looks so freakin' awesome in both modes. So I transform him a lot, it's faster each time.

I can't seem to find Soundwave anywhere in my hometown, and we have 10 stores that sell the TF-toys here.
He was the only one I really wanted to buy and the only one I can't find.

Though I must admit it was really nice to see the toys around, I have watched pictures all over the net for a bunch of months, and suddenly I stand there, with Sideswipe and Demolishor in my hands.
    It was quite cool actually.

But I was a bit stunned by the prices. Were TF toys always this expensive?

Yea they aren't cheap.... Especially that $100 Devastator that's coming out soon.

Just picked up the Bumble Bee Vs Long Haul Robot Heroes from my local Sainsbury supermarket here in the UK for just under 5

If it weren't for the fact i'm seeing the new terminator in 2 days, i'd have picked up a couple more, as they had a fair selection to choose from.

Hmmm, $100 for a toy? Hmmm. And it doesn't look very neatly painted either. But if you're a bit experienced with a brush and paints it shouldn't be too big a problem to get it really sweet looking.

Since I can't find Soundwave, I had to choose between Sideways and Sideswipe and picked the latter.
My first though was, "Holy crap, the transformations are incredibly complicated compared to my old G1 toys. I have been out of the loop way too long for this."
But the toy looks stunning and all the work to make it look that good certainly explains the price. Pure engineering skills.

But I still want my Soundwave...

Yes, $100...And it's completely lame on Hasbro's part to sell the Supreme Class at that price, ESPECIALLY with contructicons that don't have alt modes, then proceed to sell Deluxe and Voyager class contructicons that don't combine... If they can make a toy as ridiculously complex as Leader Prime, they could've easily made a true Supreme Devastator that includes cons w/ their alt modes.

    Indeed.
I could've accepted a less interesting transformation compared to the deluxe-class one's if they could make a decent looking Devastator with different parts that turned into both robot/vehicle-forms as well as fully functional-parts of Devastator.
$100 is a lot of money on a toy that is essentially a lot less creative and less fun, than a pack of LEGO-Star Wars ships.
    At least imho.

... I still need my Soundwave. *Hintety hint-hint.*

(anyone who can buy one and sell and ship it to me here in Sweden? )

My girl bought me Soundwave yesterday. She rules. I have not opened him yet. His mid section really looks like a truck. We are going to see some really cool stuff with him.

Same here, Target online has several characters that it says is available in stores now but both Targets near me only sell Bumblebee, Soundwave, Demolisher, Starscream, Ironhide, and the big Prime and Megatron. :wtf

I've got to find Skids for my son, his grades were awesome this year.

This economy eats my ass. I remember back when the first film came out, it started my collection again. I bought every movie character in their relative classes. There is no way I'm going to re-buy (sorry Hasbro) the delux versions of Ironhide, SS and Ratchet. It's just not enough. However, I want...no I NEED the rest and con not afford them. My friends will probably help because they know I'm mental.

I bought Sideways last week because he was cool and I bought Barricade first last time. Now I have Soundwave.

I'm not going to go crazy this time but I definitely want the Leaders. The only Voyagers I really want are Long Haul, Demolisher and The Fallen. There are so many Deluxes that it's hard.

Once again, I hate the economy and my financial situation
