You guys might want to check now. It varies from store to store, but I just picked up Sideswipe today, from Fry's Electronics of all places. (he's the only 'bot I feel like getting this time around)

Wasn't even expecting to run into any of the toys there.

He was the only one among multiples of ROTF Leader Prime, Megatron. Voyager 'Hide, Ratchet, Prime, The Fallen. Deluxe Sideways, the yellow bulldozer (forgot name), among a bunch of those little robot heroes variants.

And Target had Soundwave and new BB the other day.

Oh trust, I got this shit. If I became destitute in the next couple weeks, my friends and gf will make sure I'm there opening night. I went nutzo back in 2006 about this movie and I have not stopped being on these forums EVERY night since then. I'm sure they wouldn't want an "isolated incident" involving beer, cat hair and plastic missiles. I think I'll be all right

I checked my local Wal*Mart this Tuesday. None, guess they didn't want to risk going under Hasbro's radar.

I was at my local Walmart tonight and as always my son wanted to take a stroll by the toy section. They didn't have the new stuff you all are talking about, but they did have these sheets of paper taped up on the very top of each section that had a layout on it. Looked like it was a layout of whatever changes they're getting ready to make, perhaps adding these toys?

My Wal*Mart is undergoing renovations all together. They moved like practically everything there with the exception of the grocery area.

Johnd818 you are right. The papers are there so we can set up the pegs to put the in items..or old ones in new spots up. I know that the one I work at Today/ Tomarrow is redoing the "action" toys. RoTF toys will be 8ft of space.

they had that at the one i went too also. After multiple times asking them when they were bringing the new toys out, they finally taped a sign saying: "New Transformers :revenge of the fallen toys coming out tomorrow at 5 p.M."

To add to earlier, that wasn't to say I hated what I saw. Point in fact, the new Megatron looks way better than the previous version. The only one that looked a little bootleg in person was Sideways, and that's only because they made the toy into a generic "R8" by removing any badging that would clearly make it an Audi, as well as a few design cues here and there. (for obvious reasons, of course)

The only one that was on my "must have" list this time around was Sideswipe. And reading futher back I've noticed that they are doing a Human Alliance version of him as well, so that one too I guess. Luckily I managed to get what seemed to be the last one.

This guy is for display purposes only, to add to an already tiny collection of TFs. (these days, they're nothing more than statuettes)

I must say the wheels-for-feet makes him a little tricky to keep upright. Other than that, cool looking toy/robot, and my clear favorite going into the sequel.

I spent an hour sifting through the shelves at my local Wal-Mart to find the perfect Swipe & I think you have it.

I urge all of you folks looking for the toys to do a once over. I found an Ironhide that was missing the "special programs" logo on the doors & some others with paint "mishaps"--CRAZY!!

I know what you mean LadiesMan217- when I buy TFs, I make a point to find the ones with the best paint jobs and the least/fewest moulding 'errors' I can see (those subtle 'swirls' or whatever they are in the plastic - dunno if there's a collectors' term for it) - I went through five Sideswipes before picking what I felt was the least blemished one. Must've taken me 10min to pick an Optimus, too.

We have the Leader Optimus and Megs in at my store, and Bumblebee and Sideswipe.

I spent all day being ridiculed by my co-workers for not being able to stop staring at them. Hell yeah staff discount is all I can say.

I know what you mean LadiesMan217- when I buy TFs, I make a point to find the ones with the best paint jobs and the least/fewest moulding 'errors' I can see (those subtle 'swirls' or whatever they are in the plastic - dunno if there's a collectors' term for it) - I went through five Sideswipes before picking what I felt was the least blemished one. Must've taken me 10min to pick an Optimus, too.

Luckily I was the only one there {torrential rain outside probably changed people's minds} so I had the oppurtunity to poke around but....it was amazing how many Swipes & Sideways were just beat up and there was a Screamer Voyager that had a fingerprint embedded in part of his markings. I know all to well about paint problems....

I bought a standard Ratchet Voyager from TF-1 before the premium came out and I didn't even think twice but....the 3 lights on the front grill were NOT painted silver...luckily I found a person on eBay that didn't care b/c it was for her grand-son who was 6 or 7. Shortly after...the version I have now came out from Best Buy.
