Why Dinobots DON'T work:

-Big giant lizards that existed millions of years ago.
-Scanning dinosaur exhibits for alt modes at a museum would be lame.
-There's no "robots in disguise" aspect to it.
-We have too many awesome 21st century machines they can use as alt modes.

Why Scorponok and Ravage WORK:

-Big cats and scorpions exist today.
-Their alt modes have great uses, Scorponok can hide in the sand, Ravage is agile and can hide and be sneaky.
-They actually look more alien than actual animals. Ravage is a prime example of this.

A war happening in one of the worlds busiest cities...LOS ANGELES and yet the president hasn't took notice and on top of that we have a 1-2 man army Tyrese & Josh who happen to take command of all while no other re-enforcements gather at the scene???:wtf
So please...do tell me, why won't the Dinobots work?:lol

I really don't understand what is the problem with the Dinobots... a few days ago, in another topic i posted that i would like to see them, and got several replies against the idea, almost like i shouldn't be able to have my own opinion and express it.

It seems like people can believe in anything, but not Dinobots. I could think of a few ways of introducing them in a new movie, but i guess that by now, with the amount of people against it, there's no chance.

It seems like the Dinobots making an appearance would be has bad has like killing Optimus Prime...

I stick with what I said before:

I don't think that you're eliminating the connection between the fact that (at least in Michael Bay's films) the robots are cars, trucks, planes and modern technological things and that Dinosuars are big lizards; animals from 65million years ago. I love dinosuars, but not ones that turn into humanoid robots in the 21st century doing battle with more Sci Fi-ish robots. The entertainment for me, at least, comes from the excitment and the visuals of modern day things turning into robots.

Oh yeah and one more thing just to make my point:
It´s a Sci fi movie! Anything will work and anyone even TRYING to make a connection to real world physics or realism to argue for why something should or should not be in the film needs to remember this:
Its a sci fi movie! Nothing in it is real!

Oh and btw, I don´t like the Dinobots very much either, but if Bay puts them in 3 I´m not gonna say a word of it. His film. His vision. I know I will pay to see it. I know I will be entertained. Bay knows it too.
Personally I never liked Arcee at all but I don´t mind she is in the movie. I know she has a large fanbase and it is cool the filmmakers put her in for the fans. Same with the Dinobots. Popular. Always been. They might decide to have them in TF3 and I will go and pay for the film, be entertained, come out with a big smile and think it was 10 euros well spent. But I mean COME ON a feminine robot??!! Easily a lot worse than a big metallic dinosaur, but still not impossible to explain. This is not Discovery Science people. Did I say it´s a sci fi movie?

1- Oh c'mon. How does the fact that it's a sci fi movie give it an excuse to have Dinobots? There are plenty of sci fi movies that suck out there because the fan base was too involved. AVP:R was a good example. There were fans at the f*cking helm and look at what happened, the whole "get to the chopper" scene from Predator was copied! Look at Spiderman 3, fans wanted Venom in the movie and they got their wish, it ended up sucking.
2- Doesn't matter, they just wouldn't fit in Bay's movie, what is this? Jurassic Park of the future? LAME.

Yes, they're... primitive... in the smarts department mainly because I'm sure building a robot is a far cry from letting the AllSpark generate a body for you. As for if I think they would work in the context of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen? No. They wouldn't. They're too big, too obvious, and too dangerous for TF2. We don't know what direction Sir Bay will be taking us for Transformers 3 "insert tagline here", so for all we know, they COULD fit if he wanted them, but maybe not in the sense that we're all used to. I'm hoping Unicron makes it to Transformers 3, which would necessitate the use of big nasties like Swoop and Grimlock. But it is, and forever will be at the disgretion of Sir Bay, not I. Thank you.

Exactly the point I was trying to make (but probably failed to do) when I said in TF3 there may be a need for the big nasties. You don't need giant dinosaurs, but something slightly organic with a crap load of guns on it...? Maybe...

i agree, Dinobots were the barbarians with brutal strength but lesser intelligence which tends to be funnier version for entertainment. for god's sake, plis watch bac G1 or try to remember it. they r like conan the barbarian version of transformers.

since scorponok comes out as big scorpion, n megatron can fly around city, why cant dinobots comes out from museum ? just maybe at the end of first movie, the "cube" accidently strike at some dinosaur toys or models or something, get wut i mean?
